Installation Requirements
1. Power: PoE (IEEE 802.3af, max 9.5W) — one Ethernet cable from your NVR or PoE switch. Or 12V DC adapter (sold separately). 2. Cable: Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet, max 100m run. 3. Mounting: Solid wall or soffit. Camera weighs approx. 600g. Use included screws for brick or timber; wall anchors for plasterboard. 4. Height: Recommended 2.5–3.5m for best AI detection accuracy.
App Setup
1. Download DMSS app (iOS or Android). Create an account. 2. Power the camera via PoE. Wait for it to boot (about 60 seconds). 3. Use DMSS to scan the QR code on the camera or add by serial number. 4. Configure Smart Motion Detection zones and notification preferences in the app.

Does this camera record in colour at night?
Yes. When it detects a person or vehicle, the warm light turns on and gives colour footage. When the scene is quiet, it switches to IR (black and white) to save energy and avoid light pollution.

Will it work with my existing Dahua NVR?
Yes, with most current Dahua NVRs. If your NVR supports AcuPick (e.g. NVR5216-AI-ANZ), you get fast target search as well. Older NVRs may need a firmware update.

Does it pick up audio?
Yes. Built-in microphone records mono audio. You can hear it during live view and playback through DMSS or your NVR.

How much storage does it need?
At 8MP with H.265+ and motion-only recording, roughly 8-12 GB per day depending on scene activity. A 4TB HDD in your NVR stores about 30+ days for 4 cameras. The camera also supports a local microSD card up to 512GB.
Q.05
Is it suitable for coastal areas?
IP67 covers rain, dust, and heat. However, it doesn't have specific anti-corrosion protection. If you're right on the coast with salt spray, mount it under an eave or use a protective housing.
