What the DH-IPC-HDW3866EMP-S-AUS DH-IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV-ANZ-S2 is

This Dahua mixed kit is built for layered protection.

Two of the four cameras are 8MP TiOC active-deterrence units that flash red and blue strobes, sound a siren and let you speak through two-way audio when their AI detects a person or vehicle - ideal at a front boundary or gate where you want to warn someone off before they reach the building.

The other two are 8MP Smart Dual Light turrets that quietly capture clear, full-colour footage at the spots where deterrence is not needed.

All four cameras use SMD 4.0 deep-learning detection to classify people and vehicles and filter out animals, rain and foliage, so alerts stay meaningful.

Smart Dual Light and full-colour night vision give colour detail to about 30 metres on motion, then fall back to infrared when the scene is quiet to limit light pollution.

The kit ships on the 8-channel DHI-NVR4108HS-8P-AI NVR — no hard drive included, so add a surveillance drive to your order below to enable recording.

With four of the eight PoE ports used, there are four spare to add more cameras on a single cable each.

Active deterrence and AcuPick target search work best with a Dahua AI NVR; on the bundled 4-Series NVR you still get SMD smart search and Quick Pick.

The system is managed in the DMSS app, and the cameras are IP67-rated for Australian outdoor conditions.

Installation & setup

Place each camera type

Mount the two TiOC cameras at boundaries or gates where deterrence helps, and the two turrets where you want quiet, detailed coverage.

Single-cable power

Each camera runs on one Cat5e/6 cable to a PoE port on the NVR (up to about 100m), with no separate power supplies.

Set deterrence rules

In Australia a network camera is usually fitted by a licensed security installer or a competent IT/cabling technician who runs the Cat5e/6 cable, terminates the RJ45, mounts the unit and adds it to the NVR or app. On the TiOC cameras, link the strobe, siren and a recorded warning to person/vehicle events, and set detection zones in DMSS.

Record and view

Run the NVR start-up wizard, set a strong password and Australian time zone; fit a hard drive to enable recording, and DMSS gives remote viewing.
