§ 01Overview
What this product is
Lens: 2.8mm.
The DH-IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV-ANZ-S2 is the current-generation TiOC — the 8MP turret behind our 4, 6 and 8 camera deterrence kits, and the camera the channel calls TiOC 3.0. Where a normal camera records an intruder, this one reacts: cross a tripwire and it flashes red and blue lights, plays a siren or voice warning through its speaker, switches its warm light on and records the whole event in 4K full colour. Dual mics and the speaker give real two-way talk from the DMSS app.
The numbers behind it: an F1.0 lens rated to 0.004 lux in colour, 30 metres of infrared plus 30 metres of warm light, and a 106° view that identifies faces to about 6.6 metres — doorway and porch distance. SMD 4.0 with AI SSA keeps alerts to humans and vehicles, and the camera supports AcuPick search on compatible Dahua recorders. The honest limit: 6.6 metres is close-quarters work — a long approach or a distant gate wants the motorised vari-focal version instead.
Most buyers run it from a Dahua AI NVR over PoE — one Ethernet run carries power, video and every deterrence feature (10.1W with everything firing). The metal IP67 housing is rated from -40°C to +60°C with ±30% voltage tolerance. Use the bundle builder on this page to pair it with an NVR and hard drive, or start from one of the pre-built kits below.

Technical specifications
- Siren and Light Active Deterrence: red and blue lights plus voice alarms through the built-in speaker when a tripwire or intrusion zone is crossed — multiple voices included, custom recordings supported.
- Smart Dual Illuminators: 30m infrared for everyday nights; the warm light fires only when a person or vehicle is detected, recording the event in full colour.
- AcuPick Support: with an AcuPick-capable Dahua recorder, finds a person across every camera in seconds — SMD 4.0 and Quick Pick run on our kit NVRs.
- Two-Way Talk + One-Tap Disarming: dual mics and a speaker in the DMSS app, with arm/disarm from the app or the wired alarm input.
- IP67 Metal Build: rated from -40°C to +60°C with ±30% voltage tolerance for unstable rural mains.

§ 04Why choose this
Built for the way you actually use it
4K evidence with F1.0 light-gathering
Eight million pixels usually cost you night performance — the F1.0 lens claws it back, rating 0.004 lux in colour. After an incident you zoom into the recording and a face or a parked car stays readable.
Talk, listen and stand down from your phone
Dual mics and a speaker give genuine two-way talk in the DMSS app, and one-tap disarming pauses lights and sirens when the visitors are expected — no ladder required.
Loud on purpose — make sure that suits the spot
Strobes and siren voices confront whoever triggers them. On a tight terrace street or strata block that can be more response than you want — draw zones to your own boundary, or pick the quieter 3866 WizSense turret where evidence is enough.
§ 05Where it fits
Right at home in these scenarios
Porch and parcel deliveries
Faces identify to 6.6 metres — doorway distance — and after dark the warm light captures them in colour, not grey infrared. Two-way talk lets you direct a courier or challenge a stranger from your phone.
Driveway and carport
Someone lingering around the car at 2am gets lights and a voice warning before a door handle is touched — and the 4K event recording holds enough detail to zoom in afterwards.
Side gate and rear access
A tripwire across the gate line triggers the camera the moment it's crossed. The 106° view watches the whole passage from one under-eave mount.
Shopfront after hours
A voice warning at the door buys time before anyone forces entry, and the dual mics add audio to the evidence — check your state's recording rules before enabling audio.
§ 06Setup
Installation & setup
What's in the Box
1. Dahua DH-IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV-ANZ-S2 Camera × 1 2. Power Connector × 1 3. Quick Start Guide × 1
Installation Requirements
1. Power: any 802.3af PoE NVR port or switch (5.8W typical, 10.1W max with the lights and speaker running). A separate 12V DC adapter is only needed without PoE. 2. Network: a wired Ethernet run back to your NVR or switch — PoE carries power and video together on the same line. 3. Mounting: solid wall, ceiling or eave at 2.5–3 metres. The optional PFA137 junction box keeps the connection weatherproof and makes future swaps a 2-minute job.
App Setup
1. Download the DMSS app, create an account and scan the device QR code. 2. Enable push notifications, and keep the one-tap disarm switch handy for expected visitors. 3. Draw tripwire and intrusion zones tight to your own property through the camera's web interface — the warning voice, light behaviour and schedules live there too.

Recommended packages
4, 6 or 8 camera deterrence kits
This exact camera powers our TiOC kits: four turrets on a 4CH or 8CH AI NVR for a single-storey home, six or eight on the 8CH for two-storey and full-perimeter coverage — all with a 4TB drive installed.
Mix loud and quiet
The mixed 4-camera kit pairs two of these TiOC turrets at the approaches with two quiet 3866 WizSense turrets for general coverage — deterrence where it counts, plain evidence everywhere else.
Prefer it in black?
The black version is the same camera in a dark housing — at home under dark eaves and on Monument-toned fascias.
