§ 01Overview
What the DH-IPC-HDW3649H-AS-PV-ANZ is
Lens: 2.8mm.
Color options: White or Black.
Note: Please indicate your choice in your order message.
The DH-IPC-HDW3649H-AS-PV-ANZ is the deterrence pick of Dahua's 3 Series turrets — the 6MP TiOC 2.0.
Where the WizSense models record quietly, this camera reacts: cross a tripwire or intrusion zone and it flashes red and blue lights, plays a siren or voice warning through its built-in speaker, switches its warm light on and records the whole event in full colour.
Dual mics and the speaker give real two-way talk from the DMSS app.
It is also the strongest night performer in the range: the F1.0 lens rates 0.003 lux in colour — ahead of the 6MP 3666 (0.005) and the 4K 3866 (0.007) — with 30 metres of infrared for everyday nights.
The trade-offs are real, though: the 2.8mm lens covers 97°, a touch narrower than its WizSense siblings, faces identify to about 6.6 metres, and a camera that answers with lights and sound suits a property with its own clear approaches better than a tight shared street.
Most buyers run it from a Dahua AI NVR over PoE — one Ethernet run carries power, video and every deterrence feature (8.8W with everything firing).
The metal IP67 housing is rated from -40°C to +60°C with ±30% voltage tolerance for unstable rural mains.
Use the bundle builder on this page to pair it with an NVR and hard drive in one order.

DH-IPC-HDW3649H-AS-PV-ANZ specifications
- Siren and Light Active Deterrence: red and blue lights plus voice alarms through the built-in speaker when a tripwire or intrusion zone is crossed — multiple voices included, custom recordings supported.
- Smart Dual Illuminators: 30m infrared for everyday night coverage; the warm light switches on only when a person or vehicle is detected, recording the event in full colour and keeping light pollution down.
- Two-Way Talk: dual built-in microphones and a speaker — listen and speak live from the DMSS app.
- One-Tap Disarming: pause lights and sirens from the app when visitors are expected; a wired one-press arm/disarm through the alarm input suits integrators.
- SMD 4.0 + Perimeter Protection: classifies humans and vehicles and filters out animals and foliage; Quick Pick search when paired with a Dahua AI NVR.

§ 04Why choose this
Built for the way you actually use the DH-IPC-HDW3649H-AS-PV-ANZ
The best night camera in the 3 Series range
The F1.0 lens rates 0.003 lux in colour — stronger low-light than the 6MP 3666 (0.005) and the 4K 3866 (0.007). Everyday nights run on 30m infrared; the warm light only fires when something worth recording happens.
Talk, listen and stand down from your phone
Dual mics and a speaker give genuine two-way talk in the DMSS app, and one-tap disarming pauses lights and sirens when the visitors are expected — no ladder required.
Loud on purpose — make sure that suits the spot
Strobes and siren voices confront whoever triggers them. On a tight terrace street or strata block that can be more response than you want — draw zones to your own boundary, or pick the quieter 3666 WizSense turret where evidence is enough.
§ 05Where it fits
Right at home in these scenarios
Porch and parcel deliveries
Faces identify to 6.6 metres — doorway distance — and after dark the warm light captures them in colour, not grey infrared. Two-way talk lets you direct a courier or challenge a stranger from your phone.
Driveway and carport
Someone lingering around the car at 2am gets lights and a voice warning before a door handle is touched — and the event records in full colour with SMD 4.0 filtering out passing headlights.
Side gate and rear access
A tripwire across the gate line triggers the camera the moment it's crossed. The 97° view watches the whole passage from one under-eave mount.
Shopfront after hours
A voice warning at the door buys time before anyone forces entry, and the dual mics add audio to the evidence — check your state's recording rules before enabling audio.
§ 06Setup
Installation & setup
What's in the Box
1. Dahua DH-IPC-HDW3649H-AS-PV-ANZ Camera × 1 2. Power Connector × 1 3. Quick Start Guide × 1
Installation Requirements
1. Power: any 802.3af PoE NVR port or switch (4.8W typical, 8.8W max with the lights and speaker running). A separate 12V DC adapter is only needed without PoE. 2. Network: a wired Ethernet run back to your NVR or switch — PoE carries power and video together on the same line. 3. Mounting: solid wall, ceiling or eave at 2.5–3 metres. The optional PFA137 junction box keeps the connection weatherproof and makes future swaps a 2-minute job.
App Setup
1. Download the DMSS app, create an account and scan the device QR code. 2. Enable push notifications, and keep the one-tap disarm switch handy for expected visitors. 3. Draw tripwire and intrusion zones tight to your own property through the camera's web interface — the warning voice, light behaviour and schedules live there too.

§ 09Bundles
Recommended packages
4 camera deterrence kit
Four of these turrets with the 4CH DHI-NVR4104HS-P-AI/ANZ and a 4TB drive puts lights and sirens on all four approaches of a single-storey home.
6 or 8 camera full home
Six or eight cameras on the 8CH DHI-NVR4108HS-8P-AI/ANZ close the gaps a four-corner layout leaves — the porch close-up and the blind side included.
Mix loud and quiet
The mixed 4-camera kit pairs two of these TiOC turrets at the approaches with two quieter 3666s for general coverage — deterrence where it counts, plain evidence everywhere else.
