The Dahua DH-IPC-HDW3667EM-S-IL-ANZ only flags people and cars. Through the day it records in 6MP colour. After dark it sits quietly on infrared until someone actually turns up, then flicks the warm light on so you get colour of the moment that matters — and goes dark again after.

Installation Requirements

1. Power: PoE (IEEE 802.3af) or 12V DC. 2. Cable: Cat5e or Cat6, max 100 m. 3. Mounting: Wall or soffit. Lightweight turret under 600 g. 4. Height: 2.5–3.5 m. Higher than that and the AI starts missing people, because it's looking at the tops of heads instead of body shapes.

App Setup

1. Download DMSS app (iOS or Android). Create an account. 2. Power the camera via PoE. Wait about 60 seconds. 3. Scan the QR code or add by serial number. 4. Configure detection zones and AcuPick settings if using a compatible NVR.

Frequently asked about the DH-IPC-HDW3667EM-S-IL-ANZ

Q.01

Does the warm light stay on all night?
No. IR runs continuously for discreet monitoring. Warm white LED only activates when SMD 4.0 confirms a human or vehicle — colour footage for genuine events, dark between events.
Q.02

Does it have a speaker for two-way talk?
No. Built-in microphone for one-way audio recording only. No speaker fitted. For two-way talk and active deterrence, look at the TiOC models (HDW3649H or HDW3849H).
Q.03

Will it cover my driveway or front yard?
The 2.8 mm lens sees about 110° across — that takes in a double garage plus the path beside it. It's a wide view rather than a long one. If your target sits more than about 15–20 m out, send us a photo of where you'd mount it and we'll tell you straight whether this is the right camera for that spot.
Q.04

What NVR is needed for AcuPick?
AcuPick requires a Dahua NVR5 series (e.g. NVR5216-AI-ANZ). It does not work on NVR4 series or older. Basic SMD 4.0 and perimeter protection work on all current Dahua NVRs.
Q.05

Does it have alarm I/O?
The S-IL model has a mic but no alarm I/O. For alarm input/output, look at the AS model.
Q.06

Can I use it with a Hikvision or other brand NVR?
Yes, over ONVIF for standard recording. But SMD 4.0 alerts and AcuPick search are Dahua features — you'll lose those on a non-Dahua recorder.
Q.07

Can I run it without an NVR at all?
Yes, with a microSD card up to 512 GB. Use a high-endurance surveillance card — a normal phone card will die inside a year of 24/7 writing. As a rough guide, a 512 GB card holds around a week of full-resolution 24/7 footage; recording on motion events only stretches that several times further.

White or black?
Purely cosmetic — same price, same specs. White disappears against render and light eaves; black works better under dark timber or Colorbond.
