§ 01Overview

What the DH-IPC-HDW3667EM-S-IL-ANZ is

All eight cameras are the DH-IPC-HDW3667EM-S-IL-ANZ: 6MP, and they only flag people and cars, not possums or branches in the wind. After dark they sit on infrared until someone actually turns up, then flick a warm light on so you get colour of the moment that matters.

The DHI-NVR4216-16P-AI/ANZ recorder does the rest. It powers every camera down its network cable, records the lot, takes up to two hard drives for longer retention, and lets you jump straight to the people-and-vehicle events in playback instead of dragging through a night of footage. Live view and alerts on your phone through the free DMSS app, from anywhere.

The cameras record audio but have no speaker, so there's no two-way talk on this kit.

Eight cameras covers the site today; the recorder is the part built for tomorrow. Sixteen ports means eight stay spare — add cameras one at a time as the site grows, without touching the recorder — and the second drive bay means storage grows the same way.

See it in action

What the DH-IPC-HDW3667EM-S-IL-ANZ features actually look like

Representative illustrations of how each key feature performs in a real scene.

6MP Ultra HD

6MP captures around three times the detail of 1080p. Plenty of resolution to zoom into a face or number plate part-way down the driveway and still read it clearly.

30m IR Night Vision

Built-in infrared lets the camera see in complete darkness up to around 30m — enough for a typical driveway, front yard or entrance. People and vehicles stay clear in black-and-white, brighter the closer they are.

Dual-Light Night Vision

Combines infrared with a warm spotlight so it can light a scene in colour at night rather than relying on black-and-white alone — clearer, more useful footage when there's something to see.

Full Color Night Vision

Unlike plain black-and-white night vision, this camera can capture colour after dark — so you can pick out the actual colour of a car, a jacket or a bag, detail that grey infrared footage loses.

False Alarm Reduction

Filtering helps separate real activity from harmless movement like rain, leaves or pets, so you get fewer pointless notifications and the alerts that matter stand out.

Human/Vehicle Detection

Smart detection focuses on people and vehicles and can ignore things like swaying branches, rain or small animals — helping cut down false alerts and making the right moments easier to find.

IP67 Weatherproof

Sealed against dust and water to IP67, built to keep working through rain, storms and harsh sun — suitable for fully outdoor mounting.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the DH-IPC-HDW3667EM-S-IL-ANZ

Colour at night, only when it counts

IR runs quietly all night. The warm light fires only when a person or car is confirmed — so you get colour of the event, not a floodlight burning till dawn.

Far fewer pointless notifications

SMD 4.0 deep learning tells people and cars apart from animals, leaves and passing headlights. Your phone goes off when it should.

Faces don't black out against a bright sky

120 dB true WDR handles the hard shots — someone standing in a doorway with sun behind them, or a car coming out of a dark garage.

Find the moment without scrubbing

Quick Pick jumps straight to the people and vehicle events in recorded footage, instead of making you drag through a whole night to find thirty seconds.

Two drive bays, longer memory

The recorder takes up to two 16 TB surveillance drives. Keep a month or more of footage from all eight cameras, or add the second drive only when you need it.

Everything in one place, on your phone

All eight cameras record to the one box. Live view, playback and push alerts through the free DMSS app, from anywhere — no static IP or port forwarding to set up.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Shopfront and entry

Under the eave or awning at 2.5-3 m — faces in colour on the way in, day and night.

Counter or reception

Where incidents actually get disputed. Audio from the built-in mic adds context to the vision.

Car park and rear access

Plates and vehicle colour at the boundary; SMD 4.0 keeps headlight sweep from waking anyone.

Stockroom, warehouse floor or yard

Wide 110-degree coverage of open areas, racking runs and loading zones.

Site perimeter

The side paths and blind corners between buildings.

Room for eight more

Every port you're not using is a camera you can add later — one cable, no recorder swap, no rewiring.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

What you'll need on the day

8 network cable runs — one from each camera back to the recorder, Cat5e or Cat6, up to 100 m each. Not included. Measure the real path including going up and along the roof space; it's usually double what it looks like from the ground.

02

Drives and monitor

At least one hard drive in the recorder — it has two bays, so a second drive can go in later — and a TV or monitor with HDMI for first-time setup.

03

Where the recorder goes

A spot near your router, with a network cable between them for phone access. It's a larger rack-or-desktop unit than the compact 8-channel models, so allow shelf space and airflow.

04

Do you need a sparkie?

Usually not. PoE means one data cable per camera and you are not touching 240 V. Get a licensed electrician if the runs go through walls or into the roof space, or you need a new powerpoint for the recorder.

05

What's in the box

8 x DH-IPC-HDW3667EM-S-IL-ANZ 6 MP Smart Dual Light turret cameras, 1 x DHI-NVR4216-16P-AI/ANZ 16-channel WizSense PoE NVR. No hard drive — add one below.

06

First power-up

Fit the hard drive, connect the NVR to a TV or monitor over HDMI and follow the on-screen wizard, then scan the QR code to link the DMSS app on your phone.

§ 08Questions

Frequently asked about the DH-IPC-HDW3667EM-S-IL-ANZ

Q.01

Do the cameras record in colour at night?

Yes, through Smart Dual Light. Warm-white LEDs light the scene in full colour up to 30 m, so you capture clothing and vehicle colour rather than a grey infrared image. You can also switch each camera to infrared black-and-white (also to 30 m) when you would rather stay discreet.
Q.02

Can I stop the white light staying on all night?

Yes. Each camera's illuminator can be set to infrared-only, automatic, or event-triggered in the camera settings or the Dahua DMSS app, so the white light only comes on when a person or vehicle is detected instead of lighting the area all night.
Q.03

Which lens do these cameras use, 2.8 mm or 3.6 mm?

The cameras ship with the 2.8 mm fixed lens, giving a wide view of about 110 degrees that suits general coverage of entries, driveways and yards. A 3.6 mm option with a narrower view of about 86 degrees is available for more reach. Dahua's DORI figures for the 2.8 mm put detection at about 85 m, recognition at about 17 m and identification at about 9 m.
Q.04

Does this kit support AcuPick search?

No. AcuPick needs a Dahua NVR5-series recorder. This kit's WizSense NVR is an NVR4-series model, which provides Quick Pick instead. Quick Pick still lets you retrieve human and vehicle events from recorded SMD footage, along with SMD Plus, face detection and perimeter protection. If you specifically need AcuPick, ask us about pairing the cameras with an NVR5-series recorder.
Q.05

Can I talk to visitors through the cameras?

No. Each camera has a built-in microphone that records sound alongside the video, but there is no speaker, so there is no two-way talk-back. Use it to capture audio evidence, not to speak to people at the door.
Q.06

How are the cameras powered?

Over a single network cable. Run one Cat5e or Cat6 cable from each camera back to the NVR's built-in PoE ports, which supply both power and video. No separate power supply is needed at each camera.
Q.07

Is a hard drive included?

No — a hard drive is not included with this kit, and one is required for recording; add one to your order below. This recorder has two drive bays, each taking up to a 16 TB surveillance drive, so you can start with one drive and add a second later for longer retention. As a guide with eight cameras recording 24/7, 4TB holds about a week and 8TB around two and a half weeks; recording on motion events only stretches that several times further.
Q.08

Will the cameras work with a non-Dahua NVR later?

They support ONVIF (Profile S, G, T and M), so a third-party ONVIF recorder can pull the video stream. The smart features such as SMD 4.0, Quick Pick, face and perimeter detection work fully only with the Dahua WizSense NVR included in this kit.
Q.09

How many cameras can I add later?

The kit includes 8 cameras on a 16-channel NVR, so you can add up to 8 more cameras without changing the recorder, powering each one from a spare built-in PoE port.
Q.10

What's the difference between this kit and the 8-channel version?

The cameras are identical. This kit's DHI-NVR4216-16P-AI/ANZ recorder adds eight spare PoE ports and a second hard drive bay. If the site may grow — or you want room for a second drive — this is the one to buy once; if eight cameras is the final number, the 8-channel version does the same job for less.
Q.11

How many cameras do I actually need?

Eight covers a larger home or a small business site — entries, counter, car park and rear access. The 16-channel recorder means the answer can change later without a rebuild. Send us a photo or a rough site sketch and we'll tell you what we'd put where.
Q.12

Do all the cameras have to be near the recorder?

No. Each camera runs its own cable back to the recorder, up to 100 m. The recorder itself just needs power, your router, and somewhere out of the weather.
Q.13

What if one camera is too far for a cable run?

Over about 100 m you'd add a PoE switch partway, or look at a wireless bridge. Tell us the distance and we'll work it out with you.

01

Match the camera count to your property

This is the 8-camera system on a 16-channel recorder. The same kit comes in other sizes - 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 cameras - so you can match cover to your block.

02

Storage

A surveillance-rated hard drive is required for recording. Eight cameras recording 24/7 fill 4TB in about a week — 8TB holds around two and a half weeks, 10TB around three, and the second drive bay means you can add another drive later instead of replacing. Pick the retention you need: 2TB, 4TB, 6TB, 8TB or 10TB.

03

Pre-made network leads

One lead per camera, no crimping — add pre-made leads in the lengths you need in the Customize this kit section above.
