The TP-Link VIGI C385 is an 8MP (4K) full-colour bullet camera built for clear footage day and night. This is the 4 mm version, giving a slightly tighter, longer-reaching view than the 2.8 mm model — a good fit for driveways, entrances and corridors where you want more detail further out. A bright F1.6 lens with white LEDs keeps the picture in full colour after dark, while infrared takes over to 30 metres if you would rather stay covert. Human and vehicle AI, two-way audio and an active-deterrence light and audible alarm round out a camera that can warn off a visitor, not just record one. It powers over a single PoE cable or 12 V DC and carries an IP67 metal housing.

Key points
- 8MP 4K (3840 × 2160) detail through a fast F1.6 lens
- 24/7 full colour with white LEDs, plus 30 m infrared night vision
- 4 mm fixed lens: 91.5° horizontal view, detect to 107 m
- Human & vehicle classification to cut false alerts
- Two-way audio (built-in mic and speaker) and active deterrence light/siren
- IP67 metal body; PoE (802.3af/at) or 12 V DC; microSD up to 512 GB

About TP-Link Bullet Cameras

TP-Link VIGI bullet cameras are designed for outdoor perimeter security — fence lines, long driveways, and property boundaries. The extended cylindrical housing accommodates more powerful IR arrays than turret form factors, providing extended-range night vision suitable for typical Australian residential and small commercial perimeters. Smart motion detection, IP67 weatherproofing, and ONVIF compliance are standard.

Available in 4MP, 5MP, and 8MP (4K) resolutions. Visible deterrent profile suits perimeter mounting where the camera should be obvious to intruders. Built on TP-Link's networking-brand heritage with two decades of PoE and IP expertise. Free VIGI mobile app for live viewing and remote management — no subscription, no cloud lock-in.

Compare other TP-Link form factors: TP-Link VIGI turret cameras (residential under-eave). Pair with TP-Link VIGI NVRs. Or compare across all bullet cameras at all bullet cameras.

What's Included in TP-Link Bullet Cameras

Lead TP-Link VIGI bullet variants (range may vary by stock):

• VIGI 4MP bullet cameras — entry-tier residential perimeter
• VIGI 5MP bullet cameras — typical residential perimeter and short driveways
• VIGI 8MP 4K bullet cameras — evidence-grade detail at fence lines and longer driveways

All variants include: smart motion detection (human/vehicle on current models), IP67 weatherproofing, PoE single-cable installation, ONVIF compliance, and free VIGI mobile app remote access.

Recommended pairings: any TP-Link VIGI NVR for full feature support.

Comparing TP-Link Bullet Cameras Models

TP-Link VIGI Bullet vs Other Brands

Choose VIGI bullet for ecosystem independence, networking-brand reliability, and ONVIF flexibility. Best for sites already running TP-Link networking, mixed-vendor IT environments, and integrators wanting third-party VMS compatibility.

Choose Hikvision bullet for stronger long-range IR (60-80m vs VIGI 30-50m typical), AcuSense AI, and ColorVu / Smart Hybrid Light night vision.

Choose Dahua bullet for TiOC active deterrence variants (siren + strobe + voice warning) and motorised varifocal options. Strongest perimeter feature set in Smarket's catalogue.

Why Choose TP-Link Bullet Cameras?

IP67 Weatherproof for Australian Outdoor
VIGI bullet cameras are IP67-rated for full outdoor operation — suitable for direct exposure to Australian sun, summer heat, coastal humidity, and heavy rain. The metal housing handles temperature extremes from coastal conditions through to 50°C+ inland summers.

Smart Detection with No Cloud Fees
AI-based motion filtering reduces false alerts from animals, foliage, and weather. Detection runs on the camera itself — no cloud processing, no subscription required. Push notifications via the free VIGI app reach your phone instantly.

Zero Ongoing Costs
Local recording to the VIGI NVR's hard drive — no monthly fees, no premium subscription tiers, no cloud storage charges. Total cost of ownership over the camera's life is hardware + electricity only. Future-proof against subscription creep.

Common Questions about TP-Link Bullet Cameras

Are TP-Link VIGI bullet cameras suitable for Australian outdoor conditions?

Yes. All VIGI bullet cameras are IP67-rated for full outdoor operation — sealed against dust ingress and protected against temporary water immersion. Suitable for direct exposure to Australian sun, coastal humidity, and heavy rain. Metal housing tolerates the operating temperature range from coastal conditions to 50°C+ inland summer heat.

What is the IR range on a VIGI bullet camera?

IR range varies by model — typical TP-Link VIGI bullet cameras provide 30-50 metres of IR illumination, suitable for most Australian residential fence lines and short-to-medium driveways. For longer-range coverage (60m+), Hikvision DS-2CD2T86 series or Dahua HFW3849 series bullets offer stronger IR performance.

Do VIGI bullets work with non-VIGI NVRs?

VIGI bullets support ONVIF Profile S/G/T for basic interoperability with Hikvision, Dahua, and other ONVIF-compliant NVRs — live view and recording work cross-brand. However, advanced VIGI features such as smart-detection event handling work best on a TP-Link VIGI NVR. For full feature support, pair VIGI bullets with VIGI NVRs.

Is there a subscription for VIGI bullet cameras?

No. All footage is stored locally on the NVR's hard drive with zero monthly fees. The VIGI app for remote viewing and playback is completely free for both iOS and Android. There is no premium tier, no cloud storage charge, and no recurring cost.

Before you buy

What customers ask most before ordering from this range — and how we deliver.

See all FAQs →

Will these cameras work with my existing NVR?

Most of our Hikvision and Dahua cameras support ONVIF, so they'll work with many third-party NVRs for basic recording. However, AI features like AcuSense, WizSense and active deterrence only work fully when the camera and NVR are the same brand. If you're adding to an existing system, email us the NVR model and we'll confirm compatibility before you buy.

Can I mix different cameras on one NVR, or add more later?

Yes. You can mix 6MP and 8MP, or ColorVu and AcuSense, on the same NVR as long as the total bandwidth stays within the NVR's rating (we check this for every kit we sell). To add cameras later, just plug them into a spare PoE port on the NVR — no reconfiguration needed. This is why we suggest an 8-channel NVR even if you start with 4 cameras.

How long does delivery take?

Metro delivery usually takes 2–4 business days after dispatch, and regional areas may take longer. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order leaves the warehouse.

How much is shipping?

Standard shipping is free on all orders over $300 AUD, Australia-wide. Orders under $300 ship at a flat rate of $25, calculated at checkout. Tracking is included on every order.

What warranty do you offer?

All cameras, NVRs and DVRs come with a 3-year back-to-base manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Hard drives and accessories are covered as set out in our Warranty Policy.

What is your return policy?

You have 30 days from the day you receive your order to request a change-of-mind return. Items must be unopened, factory-sealed and in resalable condition. A 15% restocking fee applies and return postage is at your cost. Faulty or incorrectly supplied items are different: we cover the return shipping and refund or replace at no charge. Read the full Return & Refund Policy.

Is your Hikvision, Dahua, HiLook and TP-Link VIGI stock genuine Australian stock?

Yes, 100%. Every Hikvision, Dahua, HiLook and TP-Link VIGI product we sell is a genuine Australian-market model sourced through Australian supply chains — never grey imports. That means factory-sealed units, Australian-region firmware that works with the official apps out of the box, and a full 3-year local warranty.
