What the DH-IPC-HDW3867EM-S-IL-ANZ is

This Dahua 4-camera kit is built around the 8MP (4K) HDW3867EM-S-IL Smart Dual Light turret and the DHI-NVR4108HS-8P-AI 8-channel PoE NVR, supplied with a 4TB surveillance drive already fitted so it records the moment it is set up.

It is sized for a typical home or small business that wants sharp 4K coverage of four key approaches with room to grow.

Smart Dual Light is what sets these cameras apart.

When the scene is quiet they use infrared to stay discreet, but the moment motion is detected they switch to warm white light for full-colour night footage to about 30 metres - so you get colour detail when it counts without lighting the whole street all night.

SMD 4.0 deep-learning detection classifies people and vehicles and filters out animals, rain and moving foliage, so the alerts you receive are meaningful rather than constant.

The 8-channel NVR has eight PoE ports, so although it ships with four cameras you can add up to four more later on a single cable each, with no separate power supplies.

A built-in microphone on each camera adds audio context, the IP67 metal housings handle Australian weather, and the whole system is managed in the DMSS app.

Each camera runs on a single Cat5e/6 cable to a PoE port on the NVR (up to about 100m), so no separate camera power supplies are needed.

Connect the NVR to your router for remote viewing on any NBN type; the bundled HDD records straight away with no extra purchase.

App setup

In Australia a network camera is usually fitted by a licensed security installer or a competent IT/cabling technician who runs the Cat5e/6 cable, terminates the RJ45, mounts the unit and adds it to the NVR or app. Run the NVR start-up wizard, set a strong password and Australian time zone, then add it in the DMSS app by scanning the QR code.
