What the DH-IPC-HDBW3867E-AS-IL-ANZ is

The Dahua DH-IPC-HDBW3867E-AS-IL-ANZ is an 8MP (4K) WizSense fixed-focal dome that pairs Smart Dual Light night vision with a tough IK10 vandal-resistant housing, made for entries, eaves, car parks, shopfronts and any public-facing spot where the camera itself needs protecting.

Its 1/2.7 inch CMOS sensor captures 3840 by 2160 detail at up to 25/30 fps, with 120 dB WDR to balance bright doorways against dark interiors.

Smart Dual Light is the headline feature.

At night the dome runs in efficient infrared, then the instant its AI detects a person or vehicle it switches on a warm white light to record full-colour footage, with both the IR and the warm light reaching up to 30 m.

Between events it drops back to IR, so you get colour evidence on people and cars without leaving a bright light burning all night.

You can also lock it to IR-only or warm-light-only if a site calls for it.

It ships with a fixed 2.8 mm or 3.6 mm lens, so choose the focal length before you order: the 2.8 mm gives a wider 110 degree entry or room view, the 3.6 mm narrows to about 86 degrees and reaches a little further down a corridor or driveway.

SMD 4.0 and IVS tripwire and intrusion analytics classify human and vehicle movement to cut false alarms, and AcuPick lets a compatible Dahua WizSense NVR find a particular person or vehicle in recordings in seconds.

A built-in microphone records audio, with audio and alarm in/out for integration.

The dome is built for Australian outdoors and abuse-prone spots: an IP67 seal against dust and rain plus an IK10 vandal-resistant metal housing.

Power is by PoE (802.3af) or 12 VDC over a single cable, drawing up to about 8.2 W on PoE, and footage records to a microSD card up to 512 GB or to a Dahua NVR.

There is a built-in microphone but no built-in speaker, so the camera records audio rather than offering built-in two-way talk.

Installation & setup

What's in the box

The IPC-HDBW3867E-AS-IL-ANZ dome camera with its mounting base, screw pack and a waterproofing gland for the network connector. A PoE switch or injector, network cable, microSD card and any junction box or bracket are not included.

Installation requirements

Mount the dome to a ceiling, eave or wall that can carry it, and run Cat5e/Cat6 back to a PoE switch or Dahua NVR. Seal the connector with the supplied gland for outdoor use. Where the camera needs a junction box for the cable join or a bracket to angle off a flat wall, add a compatible Dahua part and confirm it under the camera's Accessory Selection. Insert a microSD card or set the camera to record to your NVR, then choose the Smart Dual Light mode that suits the site.

Does the HDBW3867E record in full colour at night?
It records full colour at night whenever the warm white light is active. By default the dome runs in infrared, and the moment its AI detects a person or vehicle it switches on the warm light to capture full-colour footage up to 30 m, then reverts to IR once the subject leaves. You can also set it to IR-only for a discreet, dark install, or warm-light-only if you want colour all the time.

Does it come with a 2.8 mm or 3.6 mm lens?
It is a fixed-focal camera offered with either a 2.8 mm or a 3.6 mm lens, so you choose the focal length before ordering. The 2.8 mm gives a wider 110 degree view for a room, entry or carport, while the 3.6 mm narrows to about 86 degrees and reaches a little further down a corridor or driveway. There is no motorised zoom on this model.

What does the IK10 rating mean for me?
IK10 is the highest standard impact rating, so the metal dome is built to shrug off heavy knocks and deliberate tampering. AcuPick is Dahua's fast smart-search feature. It lets you search live and recorded video to quickly locate a particular person or vehicle instead of scrubbing through hours of footage. To use AcuPick you pair the camera with a compatible Dahua WizSense AI NVR; the camera's own SMD 4.0, IVS and recording all work regardless of the recorder.

Largely, yes. SMD 4.0 and WizSense analytics classify human and vehicle movement, so alerts and recording are driven by people and cars rather than by animals, blowing foliage or lighting changes. You can also draw tripwire and intrusion zones so only the areas you care about trigger events.

It has a built-in microphone that records audio with the video, plus audio input and output ports, but no built-in speaker, so it does not offer built-in two-way talk. An external active speaker can be wired to the audio output if you need to play audio.
