The Dahua IPC-HFW3667E-AS-IL-ANZ is a 6MP WizSense bullet camera built around Smart Dual Light, designed for driveways, entry points, perimeters and commercial frontages in Australian conditions.

Its 1/2.7 inch CMOS sensor captures 3288 by 1850 detail at up to 25/30 fps, with 120 dB WDR to hold detail against bright skies and headlights.

Smart Dual Light is the headline feature.

At night the camera runs in efficient infrared, then the moment its AI detects a person or vehicle it switches on a warm white light to record full-colour footage, with both the IR and the warm light reaching up to 30 m.

SMD 4.0 and WizSense analytics classify human and vehicle movement, so motion alerts and recording are driven by what matters rather than by animals, foliage or passing headlights.

IVS tripwire and intrusion rules add accurate perimeter protection, and AcuPick lets you search recorded footage fast on a compatible Dahua WizSense NVR.

It is a fixed-focal camera, supplied with a 2.8 mm or 3.6 mm lens, in an IP67 metal housing rated from -40 to +60 degrees C.

Power is by PoE (802.3af) or 12 VDC, and it includes a built-in microphone for audio recording plus one alarm input and one alarm output.

There is no built-in speaker, so it records audio rather than offering built-in two-way talk; an external speaker can be wired to the audio output if you need it.

Footage records to a microSD card up to 512 GB or to a Dahua NVR.

Note the night-time image reverts to black and white in plain infrared mode, and shows full colour only while the warm light is active on a detected person or vehicle.

Installation & setup

What's in the box

The IPC-HFW3667E-AS-IL-ANZ bullet camera with its mounting base and fittings and a waterproofing gland for the network connector. A PoE switch or injector, network cable, microSD card and any mount bracket or junction box are not included.

Installation requirements

Mount the camera to a wall or eave, ideally 2.5 to 3 m high, angled down over the area you want to watch, and run Cat5e/Cat6 back to a PoE switch or Dahua NVR. Seal the connector with the supplied gland for outdoor use. Where the camera calls for a junction box or you need to angle it off a flat wall, add a compatible Dahua accessory and confirm it under the camera's Accessory Selection. Insert a microSD card or set the camera to record to your NVR.

Does the IPC-HFW3667E record in full colour at night?
It records full colour at night only when the warm white light is active. The camera runs in infrared by default, and the moment its AI detects a person or vehicle it switches on the warm light to capture full-colour footage up to 30 m, then reverts to IR once the subject leaves. In plain IR mode the night image is black and white. This Smart Dual Light approach gives colour evidence when it matters without leaving a bright light on all night.

Is this a fixed lens or a motorised zoom camera?
It is a fixed-focal camera, supplied with either a 2.8 mm or a 3.6 mm lens. The 2.8 mm gives a wider view for short-range areas like a doorway or carport, while the 3.6 mm reaches a little further down a driveway. There is no motorised zoom, so choose the focal length to suit the scene before you order.

Does it have two-way audio or a speaker?
It has a built-in microphone for recording audio, but no built-in speaker, so it does not offer built-in two-way talk. It does include a line-level audio output, so an external active speaker can be wired in if you need to play audio. For built-in two-way voice, look at a camera with an integrated speaker.

By PoE using the 802.3af standard, so a single network cable carries both power and data from a PoE switch or NVR, or by a 12 VDC supply if you prefer. It draws up to about 10 W on PoE with the warm light and analytics running.

Both options work. The camera takes a microSD card up to 512 GB for onboard recording, which suits a single camera. For continuous recording, multiple cameras and AcuPick fast search, connect it to a Dahua WizSense PoE NVR such as the DHI-NVR4108HS-8P.

Largely, yes. SMD 4.0 and WizSense analytics classify human and vehicle movement, so alerts and recording are driven by people and vehicles rather than by animals, wind-blown foliage or passing headlights. You can also draw tripwire and intrusion zones so only the areas you care about trigger events.

Yes. It has an IP67-rated metal housing and an operating range of -40 to +60 degrees C, so it handles full sun, heat, dust and rain. Mounting it under some eave or cover still helps reduce direct sun and lens glare.

With the 2.8 mm lens the camera can detect a person out to about 85 m and identify them at about 8.5 m; with the 3.6 mm lens those figures rise to about 99 m and 9.9 m. The 6MP resolution gives sharp detail for faces and number plates within the identify range.
