§ 01Overview

What this product is

The Dahua IPC-HFW3867T-ZAS-IL-ANZ is the flagship 8MP bullet in Dahua's WizSense 3 Series, combining Smart Dual Light with a motorised 2.7-13.5 mm zoom lens for driveways, perimeters and commercial frontages that demand both colour night footage and a precise field of view. Its 1/2.7 inch CMOS sensor captures 3840 by 2160 at up to 25/30 fps, with 120 dB WDR to hold detail against bright skies and headlights.

Smart Dual Light is the headline feature. At night the camera runs in efficient infrared, then the instant its AI detects a person or vehicle it switches on a warm white light to record full-colour footage, with both the IR and the warm light reaching up to 60 m. Between detections it drops back to IR, so you get colour evidence on intruders without leaving a bright light burning all night. The motorised lens means you can zoom and focus remotely from the app or NVR after mounting, with no ladder work to reframe.

AcuPick is the camera's fast smart-search engine: paired with a compatible Dahua WizSense NVR it lets you search live and recorded video to locate a particular person or vehicle in seconds rather than scrubbing through hours of footage. SMD 4.0 and IVS tripwire and intrusion analytics classify human and vehicle movement, so alerts and recording stay relevant. A built-in microphone records audio, with alarm and audio in/out for integration.

It is an IP67 metal housing built for Australian outdoors. Power is by PoE (802.3af) or 12 VDC, drawing up to about 12.5 W on PoE with the warm light and analytics running, and footage records to a microSD card up to 512 GB or to a Dahua NVR. There is a built-in microphone but no built-in speaker, so the camera records audio rather than offering built-in two-way talk.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use it

01

Full colour exactly when it counts

Smart Dual Light keeps the camera in efficient IR until its AI sees a person or vehicle, then lights up in warm white for full-colour footage up to 60 m, so you capture colour detail on intruders without running a spotlight all night.

02

Frame and search faster

The motorised lens lets you set the exact view remotely, and AcuPick on a Dahua WizSense NVR finds a specific person or vehicle in recordings in seconds rather than minutes.

03

Flagship 8MP detail

An 8MP 4K sensor with 120 dB WDR captures number plates and faces with room to digitally zoom in on review, even against harsh backlight.

04

Built for Australian outdoors

An IP67 metal housing, warm-light colour at night and AI scene adaption mean it holds a usable, relevant image through sun, rain and glare.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

01

Driveways and entries

Catch vehicles and visitors in full colour the moment they are detected, with the lens zoomed to frame the gate or drive exactly.

02

Long perimeters and yards

With 60 m dual-light reach and a motorised lens, one camera covers fence lines and large open areas while keeping evidence in colour on detection.

03

Commercial frontages

Shopfronts, offices and warehouses get flagship detail, remote framing and fast AcuPick search for incident review.

04

AI NVR systems

Add it to a Dahua WizSense NVR for continuous recording and AcuPick fast search across all your cameras.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

What's in the box

The IPC-HFW3867T-ZAS-IL-ANZ bullet camera with its mounting base and fittings and a waterproofing gland for the network connector. A PoE switch or injector, network cable, microSD card and any bracket or junction box are not included.

02

Installation requirements

Mount the camera to a wall or eave, ideally 2.5 to 3 m high, angled down over the area you want to watch, and run Cat5e/Cat6 back to a PoE switch or Dahua NVR. Seal the connector with the supplied gland for outdoor use, power up, then set the motorised zoom and focus remotely. Where you need to angle it off a flat wall or seal the cable join, add a compatible Dahua bracket or junction box. Insert a microSD card or set the camera to record to your NVR.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked

Q.01

Does the IPC-HFW3867T record in full colour at night?

It records full colour at night whenever the warm white light is active. The camera runs in infrared by default, and the moment its AI detects a person or vehicle it switches on the warm light to capture full-colour footage up to 60 m, then reverts to IR once the subject leaves. This Smart Dual Light approach gives colour evidence when it matters without leaving a bright light on all night.
Q.02

Can I adjust the zoom after mounting?

Yes. This is a motorised vari-focal camera, so you set the 2.7-13.5 mm lens remotely from the Dahua app, web interface or NVR. After it is mounted you can widen or tighten the view and refocus without climbing back up to the camera.
Q.03

What is AcuPick and do I need a special NVR for it?

AcuPick is Dahua's fast smart-search feature. It lets you search live and recorded video to quickly locate a particular person or vehicle instead of scrubbing through hours of footage. To use AcuPick you need to pair the camera with a compatible Dahua WizSense AI NVR; the camera's own SMD 4.0, IVS and recording all work regardless of the recorder.
Q.04

How far does the night lighting reach?

Both the infrared and the warm white illuminators reach up to 60 m, so the camera suits longer driveways, yards and perimeters as well as close entries. The warm light only fires on a detected person or vehicle, so it is not lighting up the property all night.
Q.05

Does it have two-way audio or a speaker?

It has a built-in microphone for recording audio and includes audio input and output ports, but it has no built-in speaker, so it does not offer built-in two-way talk. An external active speaker can be wired to the audio output if you need to play audio or warnings.
Q.06

How is it powered and do I need an NVR?

It runs on PoE using the 802.3af standard, drawing up to about 12.5 W with the warm light and analytics active, or on a 12 VDC supply. It records to a microSD card up to 512 GB for a single camera, or connect it to a Dahua WizSense PoE NVR for continuous recording and AcuPick fast search.
Q.07

Will it cut false alarms from animals and weather?

Largely, yes. SMD 4.0 and WizSense analytics classify human and vehicle movement, so alerts and recording follow people and vehicles rather than animals, blowing foliage or passing headlights. You can also draw tripwire and intrusion zones so only chosen areas trigger events.
Q.08

Is it weatherproof enough for Australian outdoor use?

Yes. It has an IP67-rated metal housing built for full sun, heat, dust and rain. Mounting it under some eave or cover still helps reduce direct sun and lens glare on the front element.
