What the DH-IPC-HDW3641EM-AS is
This Dahua 4-camera, 4-channel kit is a complete IP surveillance system for a home or small site, supplied ready to record.
It pairs four 6MP HDW3641EM-AS WizSense eyeball cameras with a 4-channel Dahua AI NVR (NVR4104HS-P) and a 4TB surveillance hard drive, covering the key entries and perimeter of a typical home in higher 6MP detail.
Each camera uses SMD Plus to classify movement as a person or vehicle, keeping notifications and searches focused on real targets rather than animals or weather, and provides infrared night vision up to 50m with a 2.8mm wide view.
A built-in microphone records on-site audio alongside the video, and the IP67 metal housing suits exposed eaves and walls.
The NVR has built-in PoE, so each camera runs on a single network cable for power and data, and the free DMSS app gives live view, playback and push notifications on your phone.
The 4TB drive is included per the kit specification and can be upgraded for longer retention.
As a 4-channel system the four cameras fill all four channels, so to add more cameras later you would step up to an 8-channel recorder.

Run single PoE cables
Run one Cat6 cable from each camera to the NVR's built-in PoE ports for power and data, keeping each run within roughly 100m.
Set up recording and the app
Power on the recorder, confirm all four cameras appear, set recording schedules, then add the NVR to the DMSS app for remote viewing.
Plan for future expansion
