§ 01Overview

What the RFRC-STR2 is

The Bosch RFRC-STR2 is the RADION wireless receiver that gives a Bosch Solution 6000 panel its wireless capability. Wire it to the panel and you can enrol Bosch RADION wireless detectors, keyfobs, panic buttons, reed contacts and repeaters, which is the simple way to cover upstairs rooms, garages and finished spaces where cabling is hard.

It works at 433.42MHz and uses two internal antennas for spatial and polar diversity, so reception stays reliable. The receiver supervises up to 504 wireless points, 1000 keyfobs and 8 repeaters on a Solution 6000, and it detects and reports RF jamming as well as cover and wall tamper. It connects to the panel through a terminal block and should be mounted within 300m of the panel.

A self-locking enclosure with an integrated bubble level, an address switch for mode selection and an external status LED make installation straightforward. The RFRC-STR2 is for indoor use, runs on 12VDC at 100mA max, and is not a standalone product, it needs a Solution 6000 panel. For a Solution 3000, the equivalent receiver is the Bosch B810.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the RFRC-STR2

Wireless without the cabling

Add detectors, keyfobs, contacts and panic buttons to a Solution 6000 in rooms where running wire is hard.

Big capacity

Supervises up to 504 wireless points, 1000 keyfobs and 8 repeaters, enough for large homes and commercial sites.

Reliable reception

Dual internal antennas, RF jamming detection and tamper supervision keep the wireless link dependable and monitored.

Backed locally

Supplied by an authorised Bosch dealer with a 3-year warranty and Australia-wide support.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Two-storey and finished homes

Reach upstairs rooms, garages and extensions with RADION wireless detectors instead of new cabling.

Renovations and heritage homes

Avoid opening walls for cable while keeping a wired keypad and sirens on the panel.

Adding keyfobs

Enrol RADION keyfobs so the household can arm and disarm from the door or driveway.

Large or growing sites

Supervise hundreds of wireless points and extend coverage with RADION repeaters.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

What it is

The RADION wireless receiver for the Bosch Solution 6000. It is not a standalone device and needs a Solution 6000 panel; a Solution 3000 uses the B810 instead.

02

Wiring

Connect to the panel by terminal block (R, B, Y) with 22 to 16 AWG wire, within 300m of the panel. Set the receiver mode on the address switch.

03

Mounting

Indoor use only. The self-locking enclosure has a built-in bubble level; avoid large metal surfaces that can block RF, and test RF range before fixing.

04

Professional install

In Australia a Bosch alarm should be installed by a licensed security installer, who wires the device to the panel on the RS485 LAN or wireless receiver, programs it and tests the system. The installer then enrols each wireless detector, keyfob or contact to the receiver.
