What the PremiumKeyFob4ButtonHCT-4UL is
The Bosch HCT-4UL is the DSRF fob for an existing system rather than a new one: Bosch offers it as an alternative to the RF3334E, and it is suitable only for the RF3212E version of the DSRF receiver. It does not work with another receiver family. The RFRC-STR2 is the receiver that replaces the RF3212E, so check which one is fitted before ordering.
The four buttons are laid out for real use: button 1 arms away and also serves the panic function, button 2 disarms, button 4 arms stay, and button 3 is optional for whatever the panel is programmed to do. A slide cover stops accidental presses in a pocket or bag. It runs on a CR2032 cell at 1.5 to 3.6V for around two years, drawing under 1uA on standby and 10mA while transmitting, and it warns before it dies: a delay of about one second before transmission, and a slow flash from the blue LED, both mean the battery needs replacing. The fob weighs about 25g, is designed in Australia to meet local requirements, meets EN300220 on 433.425Mhz, and carries a 12 month warranty.
