§ 01Overview

What the RFKF-FBS is

The Bosch RFKF-FBS is the encrypted RADION 4-button keyfob for Bosch Solution 3000 and 6000 alarm systems. It is the handheld remote for the alarm: two buttons turn the system on and off (Away and Stay), and two programmable buttons can trigger an output such as a sliding gate, garage door or garden lighting (which may need an additional relay or setup).

It uses synchronised encryption for immunity to replay attacks, and an LED flashes to confirm a signal has been sent. A panic alarm can be sent by holding two buttons together. A sliding cover helps prevent accidental presses and extends battery life, and the housing is water and dust resistant. One CR2032 lithium battery lasts up to five years.

The RFKF-FBS works through a Bosch RADION wireless receiver: the B810 on a Solution 3000 or the RFRC-STR2 on a Solution 6000 (each needs a minimum firmware version). It is not compatible with the Solution 2000, which has no B810 receiver, and it cannot be used with WE800 receivers. Note the receiver needs a couple of seconds between presses, so wait briefly between actions.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the RFKF-FBS

Arm from the door

Turn the alarm on and off from outside without walking to the keypad, in Away or Stay mode.

Open a gate or garage

Two programmable buttons can trigger a gate, garage door or lighting from the same remote.

Secure and confirmed

Synchronised encryption resists replay attacks, and an LED confirms each button press was sent.

Long battery life

A single CR2032 lithium battery lasts up to five years, and a sliding cover prevents accidental presses.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Everyday arming

Arm and disarm the Solution 3000 or 6000 at the door or driveway in one press.

Gate and garage control

Program the two option buttons to open a gate or garage door as you arrive.

Family remotes

Give each household member their own keyfob, each enrolled to a user on the panel.

Panic on hand

Carry the keyfob for a panic alarm by holding two buttons together if the system is set up for it.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

What it is

An encrypted RADION 4-button keyfob. It is not standalone and needs a Bosch RADION receiver.

02

Compatibility

Works with the B810 receiver on a Solution 3000 or the RFRC-STR2 on a Solution 6000, each at the required firmware. It is not for the Solution 2000 and not for WE800 receivers.

03

Battery

One CR2032 lithium battery, up to five years life; replaceable by the user.

04

Professional setup

In Australia a Bosch alarm should be installed by a licensed security installer, who wires the device to the panel on the RS485 LAN or wireless receiver, programs it and tests the system. The installer enrols the keyfob to a user and programs the two option buttons.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the RFKF-FBS

Q.01

Which alarms does the RFKF-FBS work with?

The Bosch Solution 3000 and 6000, through a RADION receiver: the B810 on a Solution 3000 or the RFRC-STR2 on a Solution 6000.
Q.02

Does it work with the Solution 2000?

No. The Solution 2000 has no B810 receiver, so the RFKF-FBS is not compatible; use the WE800EV2 keyfob system instead.
Q.03

What do the four buttons do?

Two arm and disarm the alarm in Away or Stay mode, and two are programmable to trigger an output such as a gate, garage door or lighting.
Q.04

Can it open a gate or garage door?

Yes. The two programmable buttons can trigger an output for a gate or garage door, which may need an additional relay or setup.
Q.05

Is the signal secure?

Yes. It uses synchronised encryption for immunity to replay attacks, and an LED flashes to confirm a signal was sent.
Q.06

What battery does it use?

One CR2032 lithium battery, with up to five years of life.
Q.07

Can it send a panic alarm?

Yes. Holding two buttons together sends a panic alarm if the system is programmed for it.
Q.08

Why does it not respond to fast presses?

The receiver needs a couple of seconds between presses, so wait briefly between arming and disarming.

§ 09Bundles

Recommended packages

01

You need a receiver

This keyfob is wireless. Add the RFRC-STR2 for a Solution 6000 or the B810 for a Solution 3000.

02

Prefer a premium fob

The HCT-4UL is a premium 4-button RADION keyfob alternative.

03

Add wireless detectors

With a receiver fitted, add the RFDL-11 TriTech pet PIR or the PFPR-12 pet PIR.

04

On the Solution 2000?

The RFKF-FBS does not suit the Solution 2000. Use the WE800EV2KIT keyfob and receiver kit instead.
