01Overview
What the B810 is
The Bosch B810 is the wireless SDI2 bus interface that connects compatible RADION motion and specialty detectors, keyfobs, panic buttons, door and window contacts and repeaters to a supported Bosch control panel through PWR, A, B and COM. It supports Solution 3000 and Solution 4000 installations, with one RADION receiver used per system.
The receiver listens on 433.42 MHz through dual internal antennas that provide spatial and polar reception. It detects and reports RF interference when ambient noise remains above the jamming threshold for a continuous 20 seconds, transmits a tamper signal when removed from its base or mounting surface, and provides signal strength and margin reporting for installation diagnostics.
It supports supervision of 504 wireless points, 1000 keyfobs and 8 repeaters, although the usable count depends on the connected panel and its configuration. On Solution 4000, WE800EV2 and B810 receivers are mutually exclusive; within the Solution 2000/3000 family, RADION receiver support applies to Solution 3000 rather than Solution 2000.
The receiver connects to the panel over SDI2 at distances up to 243 m using 0.65 mm (22 AWG) to 2.0 mm (18 AWG) wire, and uses 10-14 VDC, 12 VDC nominal, with a maximum current draw of 70 mA. It is addressed with a rotary switch, is intended for indoor use from 0 °C to +49 °C, and measures 139.70 mm x 209.60 mm x 31.80 mm.
Setup on Solution 3000 requires selecting B810 as the wireless receiver type before enrolment. RADION devices can then be learnt by entering their RF ID or triggering them in auto mode, while a walk test and review of each point's signal strength and margin complete the commissioning checks.
