§ 01Overview

What the B810 is

The Bosch B810 is the RADION wireless receiver that gives a Bosch Solution 3000 panel its wireless capability. Wire it to the panel and you can enrol Bosch RADION wireless detectors, keyfobs, panic buttons, door and window contacts and repeaters, which is the simple way to cover upstairs rooms, garages and finished spaces where cabling is hard.

It works at 433.42MHz, a frequency chosen for good penetration and range, and uses two internal antennas for spatial and polar diversity so reception stays reliable. The receiver supervises up to 504 wireless points, 1000 keyfobs and 8 repeaters, and it detects and reports RF interference (jamming) as well as cover and wall tamper. It connects to the panel on the SDI2 bus (PWR, A, B, COM) and can be wired up to 243m from the panel.

An address switch sets the receiver so the panel can find it, and external status LEDs and RF diagnostics make installation and maintenance straightforward. The B810 runs on 10 to 14VDC (12VDC nominal) at 70mA max, is for indoor use, and is not a standalone product: it needs a Solution 3000 panel. The Solution 2000 does not support a RADION receiver; on a Solution 6000 the equivalent receiver is the RFRC-STR2.

Network & Storage

Network & Storage — Bosch B810 Wireless Receiver for Bosch 3000
FeatureDetail
Wireless Protocol RADION wireless protocol
Communications RF packet information is received through the use of two spatial and polar diversity antennas. The receiver then transmits a 4-bit sequence of information back to the control panel for status changes.
Frequency 433.42 MHz
Wireless Capacity Supports supervision of wireless points (504), keyfobs (1000), and repeaters (8)
Bus Interface SDI2 bus communication
RF Interference (Jamming) Detection Detects and reports interference jamming when the ambient noise level is above jamming thresholds for a continuous period of 20 seconds.
Compatibility B9512G/B8512G; B6512/B5512/B4512/B3512; GV4 Series (D9412GV4, D7412GV4 v2.xx or higher) control panels; RFDL-11-A/RFDL-11 motion detector; RFDW-SM-A/RFDW-SM standard door/window contact; RFDW-RM-A/RRDW-RM recessed door/window contact; RFRP-A/RFRP repeater; RFPR-12-A/RFPR-12 motion detector; RFPR-C12-A/RFPR-C12 motion detector (curtain); RFUN-A/RFUN universal transmitter; RFKF-FB-A/RFKF-FBS-A/RFKF-FB/RFKF-FBS 4-button keyfob; RFKF-TB-A/RFKF-TBS-A/RFKF-TB/RFKF-TBS 2-button keyfob; RFPB-TB-A/RFPB-TB 2-button panic; RFPB-SB-A/RFPB-SB single button panic; RFGB-A/RFGB glass break; RFSM-A/RFSM smoke detector

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the B810

Wireless without the cabling

Add detectors, keyfobs, contacts and panic buttons to a Solution 3000 in rooms where running wire is hard.

Big capacity

Supervises up to 504 wireless points, 1000 keyfobs and 8 repeaters, enough for large homes.

Reliable reception

Dual internal antennas, RF jamming detection and tamper supervision keep the wireless link dependable and monitored.

Backed locally

Supplied by an authorised Bosch dealer with a 3-year warranty and Australia-wide support.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Two-storey and finished homes

Reach upstairs rooms, garages and extensions with RADION wireless detectors instead of new cabling.

Renovations and heritage homes

Avoid opening walls for cable while keeping a wired keypad and sirens on the panel.

Adding keyfobs

Enrol RADION keyfobs so the household can arm and disarm from the door or driveway.

Growing systems

Supervise hundreds of wireless points and extend coverage with RADION repeaters as the home expands.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

What it is

The RADION wireless receiver for the Bosch Solution 3000. It is not a standalone device and needs a Solution 3000 panel; a Solution 6000 uses the RFRC-STR2 and the Solution 2000 has no RADION receiver.

02

Wiring

Connect to the panel's SDI2 bus (PWR, A, B, COM) with 22 to 18 AWG wire, up to 243m from the panel. Set the receiver address on the address switch.

03

Programming

On a Solution 3000 the panel is programmed for a RADION receiver (set the RF receiver type) so it knows the receiver is present.

04

Professional install

In Australia a Bosch alarm should be installed by a licensed security installer, who wires the device to the panel, programs it and tests the system. The installer then enrols each wireless detector, keyfob or contact to the receiver and checks RF diagnostics.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the B810

Q.01

What does the B810 do?
