Bosch Blue Line Radion Wireless Tritech PIR Detector Pet Friendly RFDL-11
The Bosch RFDL-11 is a RADION wireless TriTech motion detector with pet immunity up to 45kg, for Bosch Solution 3000 and 6000 alarm systems. It combines passive infrared and microwave detection for strong catch performance and false-alarm immunity, and runs on batteries so there is no cabling to the detector. It is a wireless device and needs a RADION wireless receiver.

§ 01Overview
What the RFDL-11 is
The Bosch RFDL-11 is the RADION wireless TriTech detector with pet immunity, used to add motion detection to a Bosch Solution 3000 or 6000 without running cable to the sensor. TriTech means it uses both passive infrared and microwave Doppler detection, and both technologies must trigger before it alarms, which gives strong catch performance with good false-alarm immunity.
It covers 11m x 11m (35ft) and can tell the difference between a person and pets, with immunity to a dog up to 45kg, two dogs to 27kg, or up to ten cats. A sealed optical chamber gives draft and insect immunity, and a battery life extension feature limits unnecessary transmissions. It runs on four AA alkaline batteries (6VDC) for up to five years and is supervised for low battery, cover tamper and removal from its mount.
The RFDL-11 is a wireless device and is not standalone: it needs a Bosch RADION wireless receiver, the B810 on a Solution 3000 or the RFRC-STR2 on a Solution 6000. It is for indoor use, mounts at 2 to 2.4m on a flat wall, in a corner or on a ceiling with the optional B338 bracket, and remember the upper detection zones are not pet immune, so keep it where pets cannot climb into view.

AI & Deep Learning
| Feature | Detail |
|---|---|
| Signal Processing | Uses both passive infrared and microwave Doppler radar technologies. Alarm signals must trigger both technologies and meet the signal processing algorithm's strict requirements to generate an alarm. |
| PIR Signal Processing | Motion Analyzer II uses multiple thresholds and timing windows to analyze timing, amplitude, duration, and polarity of signals. Tolerates extreme levels of heat and light from heaters and air conditioners, hot and cold drafts, sunlight, lightning, and moving headlights. Three sensitivity settings. |
| Microwave Signal Processing | Adaptive processing adjusts to background disturbances. |
| Pet Immunity | Up to 45 kg (100 lb), or two dogs at 27 kg (60 lb) or up to ten cats |
| Temperature Compensation | The sensor adjusts its sensitivity to maintain consistent catch performance at critical temperatures. |
| Battery Life Extension feature (PIR and TriTech) | An alarm can be transmitted only after three (3) minutes have passed since the previous alarm restoral. This 3 minute lockout time reduces unnecessary RF transmissions in high traffic areas, thereby extending battery life. |

§ 04Why choose this
Built for the way you actually use the RFDL-11
Pet-friendly to 45kg
The detector ignores a dog up to 45kg (or up to ten cats), so families with pets can arm the alarm at home.
Wireless and long battery life
No cable to the sensor and up to five years from four AA batteries, with low-battery supervision.
Backed locally
Supplied by an authorised Bosch dealer with a 3-year warranty and Australia-wide support.
§ 05Where it fits
Right at home in these scenarios
Homes with pets
Cover a living area or hallway and let a dog up to 45kg or cats move freely without setting off the alarm.
Hard-to-cable rooms
Add detection to upstairs rooms, extensions or finished spaces without running wire back to the panel.
Renovations and rentals
Wireless mounting avoids opening walls, useful for heritage homes and tenancies.
Rooms with draughts
Draft and insect immunity suits rooms near air conditioning, heating or open windows.
§ 06Setup
Installation & setup
What it is
A RADION wireless TriTech detector. It is not standalone and needs a Bosch RADION receiver: the B810 for a Solution 3000 or the RFRC-STR2 for a Solution 6000.
Mounting
Indoor use only, at 2 to 2.4m, on a flat wall, in a corner, or on a ceiling with the optional B338 universal bracket. Keep pets from climbing into the upper zones, which are not pet immune.
Power
Four AA alkaline batteries (6VDC), up to five years life; the system supervises and reports low battery.
Professional install
In Australia a Bosch alarm should be installed by a licensed security installer, who wires the device to the panel on the RS485 LAN or wireless receiver, programs it and tests the system. The installer enrols the detector to the RADION receiver and walk-tests coverage.

§ 09Bundles
Recommended packages
You need a receiver
This detector is wireless. Add the RFRC-STR2 for a Solution 6000 or the B810 for a Solution 3000.
Ceiling mounting
For ceiling installs add the B338 universal bracket.
More RADION detectors
Build out wireless coverage with the PFPR-12 pet PIR or the RFGB glass-break detector.
Prefer wired?
If the room can be cabled, the wired BDL2-WP12G TriTech pet detector (to 45kg) is an alternative.
