Surface-mount the bracket to the ceiling, run the detector cabling through it, then fit and wire your Bosch detector and swivel it to aim the coverage pattern into the room. Set the vertical and horizontal swivel to suit the area, and remember that pet immunity is not assured in this ceiling position. Test the detection pattern by walk-testing the area before arming.
