Bosch B426-M Ethernet IP Module for Solution 2000/3000/4000
The Bosch B426-M puts a Solution 2000, 3000 or 4000 alarm panel on the network: a four-wire bus module with an RJ-45 port that gives the panel two-way IP reporting to a monitoring centre, remote programming, and the internet path the RSC+ phone app runs over.

01Overview
What the B426-M is
The Bosch B426-M is the Ethernet variant of the Conettix communicator family that Bosch recommends for AMAX and Solution series panels, and on a Solution 4000 up to two of them, or B450-M cellular modules, can be fitted per system. It is also what the app runs on: the Bosch Cloud Service and the RSC+ app need a Solution 2000 or 3000 with this module on the NBN, or a B450-M with a cellular module.
On the network it is plug and play. 10/100 Base-T Ethernet over IPv4 or IPv6 picks up DHCP, UPnP and Auto IP addressing by default, a static address can be set where the site needs one, and the UPnP service lets remote programming work behind a firewall without manual port forwarding. Reports travel in the Conettix IP protocol with full event codes, flexible supervision intervals, resistance to denial-of-service attacks, anti-replay and anti-substitution protection, and NIST-FIPS197 certified AES encryption from 128-bit to 256-bit.
The app link is tied to the module itself. Each one carries a unique 21-digit Cloud UID that the installer enters in A-Link Plus; the owner then creates a panel profile in RSC+ from that Cloud ID and connects with the profile name and the system arming code. Because the cloud connection is peer to peer, all UDP ports need to be open on the device side of the router, and push notifications only arrive when they are also switched on in the phone's own notification settings.
Commissioning has two documented routes on a Solution 2000 or 3000: the module's own browser page, with the address switch on 9 and the jumper on Mode, or A-Link Plus. On an icon keypad the module is enabled at programming location 0081 with value 1, and from panel firmware 2.1 that keypad shows cloud status, steady for online and flashing for offline. Three LEDs, heartbeat, RX and TX, show bus connection and traffic during Conettix or CSV-IP reporting; they stay dark during RSC+ app control, which is normal.
The board draws 12 VDC at 80 mA on standby and 100 mA at most from the panel, sits on an 18 AWG or 22 AWG data bus up to 300 m or 150 m from it respectively, and measures 59.5 mm x 108 mm x 16 mm. It is rated for 0° to +49°C indoors, and the supplier warranty is 36 Months.
