Shared entrances may need multiple call buttons, a directory or supported access functions. These are model-specific features; a large display alone does not confirm a station's tenant capacity.
Match the system technology
This range includes IP, two-wire and analogue models. For example, DS-KD8003-IME1(B) is listed as a PoE door station, while DS-KD8003Y-IME2 2MP belongs to a two-wire family. Dahua VTO models also span different system types. Check the full model suffix, indoor monitor family and required power or distributor equipment.
Check mounting and exposure
- Surface or flush: choose the correct housing, back box and trim for the exact station or modular layout.
- Camera position: account for the visitor's height, gate position, nearby walls and the camera's specified viewing angle.
- Outdoor installation: confirm the model's environmental rating and installation instructions; a rain shield does not replace those requirements.

Do all door stations support card access or face recognition?
