This Dahua WizColor kit is the largest in the range, pairing ten 5MP WizColor turret cameras with a 16-channel PoE NVR with no HDD included (add a hard drive to enable recording). It is built for large homes, retail premises, warehouses and commercial sites that need to watch many areas at once, with six spare PoE channels left for expansion up to sixteen cameras.

Ten viewpoints cover a big footprint: every approach to a large house, or entries, aisles, stockrooms, a car park and perimeters at a business. The cameras keep footage in full colour at night rather than switching to black-and-white infrared, using a large 1/1.8 inch sensor, an F1.0 lens and a warm LED to light the scene to about 30 m in colour, so number plates, vehicle colours and clothing stay identifiable after dark. Each camera can also run in a black-and-white mode or have its warm light dimmed or scheduled where a visible light is unwelcome.

SMD Plus and IVS analytics classify people and vehicles, which is especially valuable across ten cameras: it cuts false alarms and lets you filter playback by person or vehicle to find an event fast. Every camera has a built-in microphone to record audio with the video, but no speaker, so the cameras do not provide two-way talk. All ten are IP67 weatherproof, and the NVR powers and records each over a single network cable, with H.265+ compression helping your chosen drive cope with ten 5MP streams.

With ten cameras on a 16-channel recorder, you get extensive coverage today and a clear upgrade path: add up to six more cameras by simply plugging them in. For very high camera counts or longer retention, plan on a larger surveillance hard drive.

What's in the box

10 x DH-IPC-HDW2549EMP-S-PRO-ANZ 5MP WizColor cameras, one DHI-NVR4216-16P 16-channel PoE NVR (no HDD included — add a hard drive to enable recording), camera mounting bases and waterproofing glands, and a power lead for the NVR. Network (Cat5e/Cat6) cable, brackets and junction boxes are not included.

Installation requirements

Mount each camera 2.5 to 3 m high, angled down over the area you want to watch, and run one Cat5e/Cat6 cable from each camera back to a PoE port on the NVR (keep each run under 100 m). The NVR powers and connects every camera over that single cable, so no camera needs a separate power supply within 100 m. Connect the NVR to your TV or monitor by HDMI, run through the start-up wizard, set the recording schedule, and add the DMSS app for remote viewing. Seal each outdoor connector with the supplied gland, and use a Dahua junction box where a tidy, weatherproof cable join is needed.

What size site is a ten-camera kit for?
Ten cameras suit a large home or a commercial site: a big property's full perimeter and outbuildings, or a business covering entries, aisles, a stockroom, a car park and the building's sides. On the 16-channel NVR you also keep six spare ports to add cameras as the site grows.

How many more cameras can I add?
Up to six more, for a total of sixteen. The NVR has sixteen PoE ports and this kit uses ten, leaving six spare channels for compatible Dahua PoE cameras whenever you add them.

Do the cameras record in colour at night?
Yes. All ten are WizColor cameras that keep footage in full colour to about 30 m after dark using a warm LED, a large sensor and a bright F1.0 lens, instead of grey infrared. Any camera can be switched to black-and-white mode if a visible light is a problem at that spot.
Q.04

Is a hard drive included, and will 4 TB be enough for ten cameras?
No — a hard drive is not included; add one to your order below. A 4 TB drive records all ten cameras. With ten 5MP cameras a 4 TB drive gives roughly a week or so of continuous footage with H.265+, and longer on motion or smart recording. For longer retention across ten or more cameras, fit a larger surveillance drive.

Are cables and brackets included?
No. Each of the ten cameras needs its own Cat5e or Cat6 cable run back to a PoE port on the NVR, bought to suit your lengths, and brackets or junction boxes are separate. Keep each run under 100 m for reliable PoE power and signal.

Do the cameras have two-way audio?
Each camera has a built-in microphone that records audio with the video, but no speaker, so the cameras do not offer two-way talk. The microphones still add useful context to recorded incidents.

Can I manage ten cameras remotely?
Yes. The NVR connects to the Dahua DMSS app for live and recorded viewing of all ten cameras from anywhere with internet, with push alerts when the AI detects a person or vehicle.
