Dahua DHI-ARC3000H-FW2 Wireless Alarm Hub

SKU: DHI-ARC3000H-FW2
Description

The Dahua DHI-ARC3000H-FW2 is the wireless hub at the centre of a Dahua AirShield alarm system. It manages your wireless detectors, sirens, keypads and keyfobs, decides when to raise an alarm and notifies you through the free DMSS app. It connects three ways — Ethernet, Wi-Fi and 4G cellular — so it keeps reporting even if one network drops, and a built-in rechargeable battery keeps it running through a power cut. Wireless peripherals are required and sold separately.

§ 01Overview

What the DHI-ARC3000H-FW2 is

The Dahua DHI-ARC3000H-FW2 is the control hub of a Dahua AirShield wireless alarm system. Every detector, siren, keypad and keyfob talks to the hub, and the hub decides when to raise an alarm, sounds the sirens and pushes a notification to your phone through the free DMSS app. It scales well beyond a single room, supporting up to 150 wireless peripherals — including up to 6 sirens, 64 keyfobs, 8 keypads, 8 PIR cameras and 4 repeaters — so it suits anything from a flat to a large home or small business.

Staying connected is its strong point. It links three ways — wired Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and 4G cellular with dual SIM — so if the broadband drops it can keep reporting over mobile data, and automatic network replenishment fills in any messages missed during an outage. A built-in rechargeable lithium battery keeps the system alive for around 12 hours through a power cut. To its wireless peripherals it uses an encrypted two-way link with AES128 and frequency hopping at up to 2,000 m in open space, and it can link IP cameras for alarm video verification so you see what triggered an alarm in the app rather than guessing.

It is built for flexible, no-lock-in control. Arm and disarm from the DMSS app, a keyfob or an automatic schedule, and add a wireless keypad for PIN or card arming by the door; alerts go out as app push, SMS and phone calls to up to 5 numbers. You can self-monitor free in DMSS with no monthly fees. Two honest notes: the hub is the controller, not a complete alarm — you add the detectors, sirens and a way to arm it — and the 4G option needs a SIM with an active data plan. It runs from a 12 V DC adapter and is genuine Australian Dahua stock with local 3-year warranty and support.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the DHI-ARC3000H-FW2

Stays connected three ways

Ethernet, Wi-Fi and 4G cellular mean the hub keeps reporting even if your broadband drops, so alerts still get through.

Keeps working in a blackout

A built-in rechargeable battery runs the system for around 12 hours during a power cut, so a simple outage does not leave you unprotected.

Room to grow

Up to 150 peripherals covers everything from a flat to a large home or small business, all managed from one hub and the DMSS app.

Own it, no monthly fees

Self-monitor free in the DMSS app with push, SMS and phone-call alerts — no forced subscription to use your own alarm.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Whole-home wireless alarm

Run detectors, sirens and keypads across a house on one hub, armed from the app, a keypad or a keyfob.

Small business and shopfront

Cover entries and rooms with up to 150 devices and cellular backup for reliable reporting.

Properties with patchy internet

Use 4G as a backup or primary path so the alarm still reports where fixed broadband is unreliable.

Video-verified alarms

Link IP cameras and AirShield PIR cameras so a trigger comes with a picture, cutting false call-outs and guesswork.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

What's in the box

One DHI-ARC3000H-FW2 hub with built-in rechargeable battery and a 12 V DC power adapter. Wireless peripherals (detectors, sirens, keypads, keyfobs), a SIM for the 4G option and any IP cameras are not included.

02

Installation requirements

Place the hub centrally for good wireless coverage, power it from the supplied 12 V DC adapter, and connect it to your network by Ethernet or Wi-Fi (add a data SIM if you want 4G backup). Add it to the DMSS app, then enrol your detectors, sirens and arming devices. Set entry and exit delays and test each device's signal before arming. Professional installation is recommended for monitored systems.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the DHI-ARC3000H-FW2

Q.01

What exactly is the ARC3000H-FW2?

It is the wireless control hub of a Dahua AirShield alarm system. It connects your wireless detectors, sirens, keypads and keyfobs, decides when to raise an alarm and alerts you in the DMSS app. It is the part you build the system around; the detectors, sirens and arming devices are separate and added to suit your property.
Q.02

Do I need a SIM card or a monthly subscription?

No subscription is required. You can self-monitor the system free through the DMSS app over your home Ethernet or Wi-Fi, with push, SMS and phone-call alerts. The 4G cellular option is a backup path and only needs a SIM with an active data plan if you want mobile-network reporting as well.
Q.03

How many devices can it support?

Up to 150 wireless peripherals, including up to 6 sirens, 64 keyfobs, 8 keypads, 8 PIR cameras and 4 repeaters. That is enough for a single home through to a large house or small business.
Q.04

What happens if the power or internet goes out?

A built-in rechargeable battery keeps the hub running for around 12 hours during a power cut. For internet, it can fall back between Ethernet, Wi-Fi and 4G cellular, and automatic network replenishment recovers any alarm messages missed while a network was down.
Q.05

How do I arm and disarm it?

From the DMSS app, with a keyfob, or on an automatic schedule. Add a wireless keypad and you can also arm and disarm by PIN code or a contactless card by the door.
Q.06

Can it show me what set the alarm off?

Yes. It supports alarm video verification by linking IP cameras and works with AirShield PIR cameras, so when an alarm triggers you can see an image of what caused it in the app instead of just a notification.
Q.07

How is this different from the Alarm Hub 2?

Both run the same AirShield peripherals and support up to 150 devices. The larger ARC3800H-FW2 Alarm Hub 2 adds capacity such as alerts to more phone numbers and more onboard cameras for bigger sites. The ARC3000H-FW2 covers most homes and small businesses at a lower cost.
Q.08

Is the wireless link to the detectors secure?

Yes. The hub uses an encrypted two-way wireless link with AES128 and frequency hopping. Two-way communication confirms each device is reporting, and the encryption and hopping make the signal resistant to interference and jamming.
Q.09

Is this genuine Australian Dahua stock?

Yes. It is supplied as genuine Australian Dahua stock with local 3-year warranty and support, and it works with the AirShield peripherals sold here.
