Dahua DHI-ARA24-W2 Wireless Alarm Keyfob Remote
The Dahua DHI-ARA24-W2 is a four-button wireless keyfob for the Dahua AirShield alarm system. It lets you arm and disarm your alarm from your pocket and includes a dedicated SOS button to raise an emergency alert. It talks to your AirShield hub over an encrypted 868 MHz two-way link, so the keyfob confirms each command rather than firing blind. An AirShield hub is required and sold separately.

§ 01Overview
What the DHI-ARA24-W2 is
The Dahua DHI-ARA24-W2 is a pocket-sized remote for the Dahua AirShield wireless alarm system. Its four buttons let you arm in Away mode when you leave, arm in Home mode to protect doors and perimeter while you stay in, disarm when you return, and press SOS to raise an immediate emergency alarm. A two-colour LED flashes back so you know the command was received.
It is not a one-way remote. The keyfob uses 868 MHz two-way communication with AES128 encryption and frequency hopping, so each press is confirmed by the hub and the link resists interference and cloning, with a range of up to 900 m in open space. A single CR2032 coin cell runs it for around three years, and a low-battery warning lets you know well before it goes flat.
Worth knowing before you buy: the keyfob is an accessory, not a system on its own. It needs a Dahua AirShield hub to function, and you would normally pair it with detectors and a siren. It carries genuine Australian Dahua warranty and support, and the same system is managed from the free DMSS app on your phone.

§ 04Why choose this
Built for the way you actually use the DHI-ARA24-W2
SOS when it matters
A dedicated SOS button raises an immediate emergency alarm, useful for medical or personal-safety situations as well as intrusion.
Confirmed, secure signalling
868 MHz two-way radio with AES128 encryption and frequency hopping confirms each command and resists interference and cloning.
Years between battery changes
A CR2032 cell lasts around three years with a low-battery warning, so it is genuinely fit-and-forget.
§ 05Where it fits
Right at home in these scenarios
Daily arm and disarm
Keep one on the keyring to arm Away on the way out and disarm on the way back, the quickest way to use the system day to day.
Personal safety / SOS
Carry it for a one-touch emergency alarm at home, handy for elderly residents or anyone living alone.
A fob for each person
Give every family member or staff member their own keyfob, with up to 64 supported per hub.
Backup to the app
Use it when a phone is out of reach or out of charge, as a reliable physical control for the alarm.
§ 06Setup
Installation & setup
What's in the box
One DHI-ARA24-W2 keyfob with a CR2032 battery fitted. A Dahua AirShield hub is required and not included.
Setup
Enrol the keyfob to your AirShield hub through the DMSS app by following the add-peripheral steps and scanning or entering its code. Assign it to the person or area you want, then test each button to confirm a good two-way signal before relying on it.

§ 09Bundles
Recommended packages
Pair it with an AirShield hub (required)
The keyfob needs a hub to work — build your system on the DHI-ARC3800H-FW2 Alarm Hub 2, or the smaller DHI-ARC3000H-FW2 hub for a compact setup.
Add detection and a siren
Cover entries and rooms with a ARD1233-W2 PIR detector or ARD323-W2 door contact, and make sure intrusions are heard with an ARA12-W2 indoor siren or ARA13-W2 outdoor siren.
Prefer a keypad too?
For PIN or card arming by the door, add the ARK30T-W2 wireless keypad.
Want a ready-made system?
Start from a bundled AirShield starter kit and add this keyfob for extra remotes.
