§ 01Overview

What the DHI-ARK30T-W2 is

The Dahua DHI-ARK30T-W2 is a wireless keypad that gives a Dahua AirShield alarm a familiar by-the-door control point. Users can arm and disarm either by entering a personal PIN or by tapping a contactless IC card, and the keypad supports up to 32 users so each person can have their own code or card and the system records who armed or disarmed it. Four indicator lights show communication, arm and disarm state, faults and active alarms at a glance.

It is fully wireless. It mounts on any indoor wall and talks to the hub over 868 MHz two-way radio with AES128 encryption and frequency hopping at up to 1,600 m in open space, so there is no cabling between the keypad and the hub. A tamper alarm protects it from being prised off the wall, and the keypad can also raise emergency panic, fire and medical alarms when needed.

Practical notes: it runs on four AA batteries for around three years (about two years if you enable entry/exit delay tones and arming ringtones), with a low-battery warning. It is an accessory, not a system on its own — it needs an AirShield hub and at least a detector and siren to do its job — and to use card arming you add compatible IC cards or tags. It is genuine Australian Dahua stock with local warranty and support.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the DHI-ARK30T-W2

PIN or tap to arm

Arm and disarm by code or a quick tap of an IC card, whichever suits each person in the home or business.

Up to 32 users

Give everyone their own code or card, see who armed or disarmed the system, and revoke one person without affecting the rest.

Wireless, by the door

A two-way 868 MHz link means it mounts on any indoor wall near the entrance with no cabling back to the hub.

Emergency at hand

Built-in panic, fire and medical alarm functions put help one press away at the main control point.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Front-door control

Mount it by the main entrance so the family or staff arm on the way out and disarm on the way in with a code or card.

Shops and offices

Issue cards to staff for quick, code-free arming and disarming, with each user tracked separately.

Households that prefer a keypad

Give a familiar wall control to anyone who would rather not use the phone app for everyday arming.

Card access for some users

Hand IC cards to children or casual users while keeping PIN codes for others.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

What's in the box

One DHI-ARK30T-W2 wireless keypad with mounting hardware and 4 x AA batteries. A Dahua AirShield hub is required, and IC cards or tags for card arming are not included.

02

Installation requirements

Mount it on an indoor wall near the entrance, fit the AA batteries and enrol it to your AirShield hub through the DMSS app. Add user PINs and any IC cards, set entry and exit delays to suit, and use the signal-strength check to confirm a good two-way link before relying on it.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the DHI-ARK30T-W2

Q.01

Does the ARK30T-W2 keypad work on its own?

No. It is a control point for the Dahua AirShield system and needs an AirShield hub to work. Enrolled to a hub it arms and disarms the system; on its own it has nothing to control.
Q.02

Can I arm and disarm with a card instead of a code?

Yes. You can either enter a PIN or tap a compatible contactless IC card, whichever you prefer. Cards suit children, staff or anyone who would rather not remember a code, and you simply add compatible IC cards or tags to use them.
Q.03

How many users can it have?

Up to 32 individual users, each with their own PIN or card. Because users are separate, the system can record who armed or disarmed it and you can remove a single person's access without changing everyone else's.
Q.04

Can it raise an emergency alarm?

Yes. The keypad can trigger emergency panic, fire and medical alarms in addition to normal arming and disarming, so help can be summoned from the same point by the door.
Q.05

Does it need wiring to the hub?

No. It is fully wireless and battery powered, connecting to the hub over an encrypted 868 MHz two-way link at up to 1,600 metres in open space, so it mounts on any indoor wall with no cabling.
Q.06

How long do the batteries last?

It runs on four AA batteries for around three years in normal use, or about two years if you turn on entry and exit delay tones and arming ringtones. A low-battery warning lets you know before they run out.
Q.07

What do the indicator lights show?

Four lights show communication with the hub, the arm or disarm state, any system fault, and an active alarm, so the system status is clear at a glance whenever you pass the keypad.
Q.08

Is this genuine Australian Dahua stock?

Yes. It is the 868 MHz AirShield keypad supplied as genuine Australian Dahua stock with local 3-year warranty and support, matching the AirShield hubs and peripherals sold here.
