§ 01Overview

What the DHI-ARK30T-W2-IC is

These Dahua Blue Mifare Tags are the proximity credentials for the Dahua ARK30T-W2 AirShield wireless keypad.

Instead of keying a code, a user holds a tag to the keypad and the system arms or disarms — quick, and easy for anyone who would rather not remember a PIN, including children and older family members.

You can issue a separate tag to each person, so the system knows who armed or disarmed and you can remove a single tag if one is lost.

They take over from the original DHI-ARK30T-W2-IC proximity card, supplied now as these blue Mifare tags, and they use the same contactless Mifare technology the keypad reads.

A tag is enrolled to the keypad through the DMSS app in seconds, and just as easily deleted, so adding a new user or retiring a lost tag is a quick job.

Two honest notes.

A tag is a passive RFID credential — it has no battery and no radio of its own, so it does nothing on its own.

It needs the Dahua ARK30T-W2 keypad to read it (and that keypad runs on an AirShield hub).

If you would rather arm from your phone or a fob, the DMSS app and an AirShield keyfob do the same job.

These are genuine Australian Dahua stock with local 3-year warranty and support.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the DHI-ARK30T-W2-IC

No PIN to remember

A user just taps a tag to arm or disarm, which is faster than a code and easier for children and older family members.

One tag per person

Issue a separate tag to each user so the system records who armed or disarmed and you manage access individually.

Easy to add or revoke

Enrol or delete a tag in the DMSS app in seconds, so a lost tag is retired without re-issuing everybody's.

Simple, battery-free credential

A passive Mifare tag needs no battery or charging — it just works whenever you present it to the keypad.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Family arming

Give each family member a tag so anyone can arm or disarm on the way in or out without sharing a code.

Staff access in a shop

Hand each staff member a tag to arm and disarm, and revoke one instantly if an employee leaves.

Code-free for kids and elderly

A tap is simpler than a PIN for children or older residents who find codes awkward.

Spare and replacement tags

Keep a spare to replace a lost tag or to add a new household member or cleaner.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

What's in the box

Dahua Blue Mifare proximity tag(s) for the ARK30T-W2 keypad. The ARK30T-W2 keypad and an AirShield hub are required and not included.

02

Installation requirements

Enrol each tag to your ARK30T-W2 keypad through the DMSS app and assign it to a user. Test that a tap arms and disarms as expected, and keep a record of which tag belongs to whom so a lost one can be deleted quickly.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the DHI-ARK30T-W2-IC

Q.01

What are these Blue Mifare Tags for?

They are proximity tags for the Dahua ARK30T-W2 AirShield keypad. A user taps a tag on the keypad to arm or disarm the alarm instead of entering a PIN, which is quicker and easier for people who would rather not remember a code.
Q.02

Do the tags work on their own?

No. A tag is a passive Mifare credential with no battery or radio of its own. It needs the Dahua ARK30T-W2 keypad to read it, and that keypad in turn runs on an AirShield hub. On their own the tags do nothing.
Q.03

Do I need the ARK30T-W2 keypad to use them?

Yes. These tags are read by the ARK30T-W2 keypad's built-in proximity reader. If you do not have that keypad, the tags have nothing to present to. The keypad also still supports arming by PIN for users who prefer a code.
Q.04

Can I give each person their own tag?

Yes. You enrol a tag per user in the DMSS app, so each household member or staff member can have their own. That also means the system can record who armed or disarmed, and you can delete one person's tag without affecting anyone else's.
Q.05

What happens if a tag is lost?

Delete it from the keypad in the DMSS app and it can no longer arm or disarm the system, then enrol a replacement. Because each tag is managed individually, losing one does not mean re-issuing everybody's.
Q.06

Are these the same as the old ARK30T-W2-IC card?

Yes. They are the current form of the DHI-ARK30T-W2-IC proximity credential, supplied as blue Mifare tags. They use the same contactless Mifare technology the keypad reads.
Q.07

Is there another way to arm without a tag?

Yes. The keypad still accepts a PIN, and you can also arm or disarm from the DMSS app or with an AirShield keyfob. The tags are simply a fast, code-free option for everyday use.
Q.08

Is this genuine Australian Dahua stock?

Yes. They are supplied as genuine Australian Dahua stock with local 3-year warranty and support, matching the ARK30T-W2 keypad and AirShield system sold here.

§ 09Bundles

Recommended packages

01

Needs the ARK30T-W2 keypad

These tags are read by the ARK30T-W2 AirShield keypad — add the keypad if you do not already have it, as the tags do nothing without it.

03

Prefer a fob or app?

You can also arm and disarm with an ARA24-W2 keyfob or the DMSS app if you would rather not use a tag.
