What the DHI-ART-ARC3800H-03-FW2-B is
The Dahua DHI-ART-ARC3800H-03-FW2 is an AirShield wireless alarm starter kit built around the Hub 2 control panel.
The hub reports over Ethernet, Wi-Fi and built-in 4G LTE with dual-SIM redundancy, so an alarm still gets through if one path drops.
This kit pairs the hub with a keyfob, a door (reed) detector and a PIR motion detector to cover a first entry and room, and the system expands to up to 150 wireless peripherals as the property grows, including sirens, extra detectors, keypads and repeaters.
You arm, disarm and manage the system from the free DMSS app, with real-time push notifications, SMS and phone-call alerts, and scheduled arming.
There is no mandatory monthly fee: you own the equipment and can self-monitor through the app, or connect a professional monitoring service if you prefer.
Two-way wireless communication with AES128 encryption and frequency hopping helps resist jamming and interference, and tamper and low-battery alarms flag any problem.
A built-in rechargeable battery keeps the hub running through a power cut.
The kit suits houses, apartments, shops and offices, and the 4G option requires a SIM card.
Note that this starter kit does not include a siren, which can be added from the AirShield range.

Mount or sit the hub where it has good network or Wi-Fi signal and is central to the peripherals, so wireless links stay strong across the property.
Add a SIM for 4G backup
Fit a SIM card if you want the 4G LTE backup path; the hub can also run on wired network or Wi-Fi alone.
Mount the detectors correctly
Fit the PIR at the recommended height and aim it away from heaters, stairs and direct pet paths, and place the door detector on the entry door and frame.
