Dahua DHI-ARM320-W2 Wireless Input Expander
The Dahua DHI-ARM320-W2 is a wireless input expander for the Dahua AirShield alarm system. It lets you connect an existing third-party wired detector — a PIR, reed, smoke or panic device — and bring it into your wireless alarm, so when that detector triggers, the expander reports it to the hub over the air. It can even supply low-voltage power to the connected detector, and it runs for years on its own batteries. An AirShield hub is required and sold separately.

What the DHI-ARM320-W2 is
The Dahua DHI-ARM320-W2 Input Expander is the bridge between old-style wired detectors and a Dahua AirShield wireless alarm. Wire a third-party detector — such as an existing PIR, reed switch, smoke detector or panic button — into the expander, and when that detector trips it sends the signal to the AirShield hub by radio, which then raises the alarm and notifies you. It is the practical way to keep a working wired sensor while moving to a wireless system.
It is flexible about what it connects. It provides one alarm input plus a second input for the connected detector's tamper port, and in the DMSS app you choose what kind of alarm that input represents — intrusion, medical, fire, emergency, gas or tamper — so the system reacts correctly. An auxiliary 3.3 V output (up to 10 mA) can power the connected detector directly, and a triaxial accelerometer raises a device-moved alarm if the unit itself is disturbed.
On power and limits: it runs on three CR123A batteries for around five years in normal use, with a low-battery warning, and it talks to the hub over an encrypted two-way link with AES128 and frequency hopping at up to 1,300 m in open space. It is for indoor use and mounts on a surface or inside a third-party device. Like every AirShield device it needs a hub to work. It is genuine Australian Dahua stock with local 3-year warranty and support.

Installation & setup
What's in the box
One DHI-ARM320-W2 input expander with 3 x CR123A batteries. A Dahua AirShield hub is required and not included; the third-party wired detector is connected separately.
Installation requirements
Mount the expander on a surface or inside the third-party device, wire the detector to the alarm input and its tamper to the second input, and use the 3.3 V output if the detector needs power. Enrol the expander to your AirShield hub in the DMSS app, set the alarm type for the input, and use the test mode to confirm a reliable two-way signal before arming.
