Dahua DHI-ARM7012-W2 Wireless WallSwitch

SKU: DHI-ARM7012-W2
Description

The Dahua DHI-ARM7012-W2 is a wireless WallSwitch for the Dahua AirShield alarm system. It lets you switch a mains appliance on or off remotely from the DMSS app, run it on a schedule or trigger it from an alarm event, and it monitors how much power that appliance is using. It handles loads up to 13 A at 100-240 VAC and links to your AirShield hub over an encrypted two-way wireless connection. An AirShield hub is required and sold separately.

Key points
- Remote on/off control of a 100-240 VAC appliance, up to 13 A
- Single relay output, switchable as normally-open or normally-closed
- Live energy monitoring: voltage, current and consumption in the DMSS app
- Overheat and overload protection built in
- Encrypted two-way wireless (AES128, frequency hopping) with jamming detection
- Range up to 1,200 m in open space to the hub
- Mains powered, indoor wall mount; requires a Dahua AirShield hub

§ 01Overview

What the DHI-ARM7012-W2 is

The Dahua DHI-ARM7012-W2 WallSwitch adds remote and automated mains control to a Dahua AirShield system. Wired in line with a light or appliance, it lets you turn that load on or off from the DMSS app wherever you are, set it to a schedule, or have it react to an alarm — for example switching on a light when a detector trips. Its single relay handles up to 13 A at 100-240 VAC and can be configured normally-open or normally-closed to suit the circuit.

It also keeps an eye on the power it controls. The WallSwitch measures voltage, current and total consumption and reports them in the app, so you can see what an appliance is drawing, and built-in overheat and overload protection guards the connected device. It talks to the hub over an encrypted two-way wireless link with AES128 and frequency hopping, plus jamming detection, at a range of up to 1,200 m in open space.

A few honest notes: this is a control accessory, not a detector and not a standalone smart plug. It needs a Dahua AirShield hub to work, it is mains powered rather than battery powered, and it mounts indoors. As a 100-240 VAC switching device it should be installed by a licensed electrician. It is genuine Australian Dahua stock with local 3-year warranty and support.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the DHI-ARM7012-W2

Control mains power remotely

Switch a light or appliance on or off from the DMSS app wherever you are, or set it to run on a schedule, all from your phone.

Automate with your alarm

Link it to alarm events so a detector trip can switch on a light or device, turning your security system into simple home automation.

See what it's using

Built-in energy monitoring reports voltage, current and total consumption in the app, so the power use of the connected appliance is no mystery.

Safe switching

Overheat and overload protection guard the connected device, and an encrypted two-way link keeps control commands confirmed and secure.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Lights on with the alarm

Wire it to an indoor or outdoor light so an alarm trigger switches the light on automatically, adding a visible deterrent.

Scheduled appliances

Run a heater, pump or lamp on a timed schedule from the app, the same way you control the rest of the AirShield system.

Remote on/off

Turn a forgotten appliance off, or switch something on before you get home, from anywhere with the app.

Energy awareness

Keep an eye on what a specific mains appliance is drawing through the consumption readings in the app.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

What's in the box

One DHI-ARM7012-W2 WallSwitch. A Dahua AirShield hub is required and not included; the appliance or light it controls is wired in separately.

02

Installation requirements

Because it switches 100-240 VAC mains, have a licensed electrician wire it in line with the appliance and confirm the NO/NC setting suits the circuit. Then enrol it to your AirShield hub in the DMSS app, set up the schedule or alarm linkage you want, and use the test mode to confirm a reliable wireless link before relying on it.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the DHI-ARM7012-W2

Q.01

Does the ARM7012-W2 WallSwitch work on its own?

No. It is an accessory for the Dahua AirShield system and needs an AirShield hub. Enrolled to a hub it switches a connected appliance from the app, a schedule or an alarm event; without a hub it has nothing to control it.
Q.02

What can it switch, and how much load?

It switches a single 100-240 VAC circuit through its relay, rated up to 13 A, so it suits lights, a pump, a heater or a similar mains appliance. The relay can be set normally-open or normally-closed to match how the circuit needs to behave.
Q.03

Can it turn a light on when the alarm goes off?

Yes. Because it is part of the AirShield system you can link it to alarm events, so a trigger from a detector can switch on a light or another device automatically, as well as letting you control it manually from the app or on a schedule.
Q.04

Does it really measure power use?

Yes. It monitors voltage, current and total energy consumption of the connected appliance and reports them in the DMSS app, so you can see what that load is drawing over time.
Q.05

Is it battery powered or mains powered?

It is mains powered and wired into the 100-240 VAC supply it switches, so there are no batteries to replace. Because it works on mains voltage it should be installed by a licensed electrician.
Q.06

How far can it be from the hub?

Up to 1,200 metres in open space. Indoors through walls the practical range is shorter, but it comfortably covers a normal home or small business where the switch and hub are in or near the same building.
Q.07

Is the wireless link secure?

Yes. It uses an encrypted two-way wireless link with AES128 and frequency hopping, plus jamming detection, so commands are confirmed and the signal resists interference and tampering.
Q.08

Is this genuine Australian Dahua stock?

Yes. It is supplied as genuine Australian Dahua stock with local 3-year warranty and support, and it pairs with the AirShield hubs and peripherals sold here.
