What the IPC-T381H-MU is

This HiLook 8MP kit gives full eight-camera 4K coverage on an 8-channel recorder — a sensible size for a home with several approaches or a small business that wants sharp evidence across a floor and a yard. Eight IPC-T381H-MU turret cameras run from a HiLook NVR-108MH-C/8P, which has eight built-in PoE ports, so each camera connects over a single network cable that carries power and data.

At 8MP (3840 × 2160) the T381H captures the fine detail that makes faces, clothing and number plates usable as evidence. Its dual infrared illuminators give even 30 metre night coverage, recording in black and white, and 120 dB true WDR balances bright and dark areas in the same frame. A built-in arrayed dual microphone captures clearer audio than a single-mic camera, and AcuSense classifies people and vehicles so the system can alert you only on what matters. The IP67 metal housings suit outdoor use and H.265+ keeps the eight 4K streams efficient.

The recorder ships without a hard drive, and 4K across eight cameras fills storage quickly — add a surveillance-grade drive sized to your retention; a 6TB drive is a sensible choice and the NVR takes a single drive up to 8TB. The T381H records in black and white at night; for full colour at night look at the T383H Pro or T269 cameras. Installation & setup

  1. What's in the box

    Eight IPC-T381H-MU 8MP cameras, one NVR-108MH-C/8P recorder and mounting accessories with guides. A hard drive, network cables and a monitor are supplied separately.

  2. Installation requirements

    Mount the eight cameras across the site, run one network cable from each to the NVR's PoE ports, and fit a 6TB or larger surveillance drive before recording. Set up in the HiLookVision app or on a monitor, enable AcuSense rules, and test each view and the night mode before relying on it.

Is a hard drive included with this kit?
No. The NVR-108MH-C/8P is supplied without a hard drive. For eight 4K cameras recording continuously, add a surveillance-grade 6TB WD Purple or Seagate Skyhawk for a useful retention window; the recorder takes a single drive up to 8TB.

What does Dual IR mean on the T381H?
It means the camera has two infrared illuminators instead of one, giving more even night coverage out to 30 metres. Night footage is in black and white. For full colour at night, look at the T383H Pro Smart Hybrid Light kits instead.

Do the cameras have two-way audio or a strobe?
They have a built-in arrayed dual microphone that records sound, but no speaker, so there is no talk-back, and they have no strobe or siren. For two-way audio and active deterrence, the T269 and T289 all-in-one camera kits are the ones to look at.

Can I add more cameras to this kit?
This is an 8-channel recorder with eight cameras, so all ports are in use and the kit is fully loaded. To add more cameras, or to use two hard drives for longer 4K retention, look at the same eight cameras on a 16-channel HiLook NVR.
