Description

This HiLook 8MP Pro Series kit pairs eight IPC-T383H-MU Smart Hybrid Light turret cameras with an 8-channel PoE NVR — full eight-camera 4K coverage with colour night capture across the property. Each 8MP Pro turret uses Smart Hybrid Light: it stays on infrared by default at night, and when it detects motion it can switch on a warm white light to capture that moment in full colour. A built-in microphone adds audio, AcuSense human and vehicle detection keeps alerts relevant, and the 8-port PoE recorder powers all eight cameras over a single cable each.

What the IPC-T383H-MU is

This HiLook 8MP Pro Series kit gives full eight-camera 4K coverage with colour night capture — the right size for a larger home or a small-to-medium business that wants detail and colour-on-motion across every approach.

Eight IPC-T383H-MU Pro turret cameras run from a HiLook NVR-108MH-C/8P, an 8-channel recorder with eight built-in PoE ports, so each camera connects over a single network cable that carries power and data.

The Pro turret's headline feature is Smart Hybrid Light.

At 8MP (3840 × 2160) it captures fine detail by day, and at night it uses infrared by default; when it detects motion it can switch on a warm white light to capture that moment in full colour — colour detail only when something is happening, rather than a light running all night.

Each camera carries 120 dB true WDR for high-contrast scenes and a built-in microphone for audio, and AcuSense classifies people and vehicles so eight channels of alerts stay relevant.

The IP67 metal housings suit outdoor use and H.265+ keeps the eight 4K streams efficient.

Two honest notes.

The recorder ships without a hard drive, and 4K across eight cameras uses storage quickly — add a 6TB surveillance drive for a useful retention window, and the NVR takes a single drive up to 8TB.

And this kit uses all eight channels, so it is fully loaded; to add cameras later, or to keep more days of 4K footage on two drives, the same eight-camera kit on a 16-channel recorder is the one to compare.

These are not deterrence cameras: they record audio with a microphone but have no speaker, strobe or siren, so for active talk-back deterrence look at the T269 and T289 all-in-one kits.

What's in the box

Eight IPC-T383H-MU Pro turret cameras, one NVR-108MH-C/8P recorder and mounting accessories with guides. A hard drive, network cables and a monitor are supplied separately.

Installation requirements

Mount the eight cameras across the site, run one network cable from each to the NVR's PoE ports, and fit a 6TB or larger surveillance drive before recording. Set up in the HiLookVision app or on a monitor, enable AcuSense and the hybrid-light behaviour, and test each view and the night colour before relying on it.

Frequently asked about the IPC-T383H-MU

Q.01

Is a hard drive included with this 8-camera Pro kit?
No. The NVR-108MH-C/8P is supplied without a hard drive. For eight 4K cameras recording continuously, add a surveillance-grade 6TB drive for a useful retention window; the recorder takes a single drive up to 8TB. WD Purple and Seagate Skyhawk are good choices.

How does Smart Hybrid Light night vision work?
By default the IPC-T383H-MU uses infrared at night and records in black and white to stay discreet. When it detects motion it can switch on a warm white light to capture that event in full colour, so you get colour detail when it matters without a light running all night.
Q.03

Is this the same as the all-in-one deterrence cameras like the T289?
No. The T383H goes to colour only when motion triggers the white light, and it has a microphone but no speaker. The all-in-one T269 and T289 cameras stay in full colour at night and add a red and blue strobe, siren and two-way audio for active deterrence. The T383H Pro turret is about better night capture, not loud deterrence.

Can I add more cameras to this kit?
This is an 8-channel recorder with eight cameras, so all ports are in use and the kit is fully loaded. To add more cameras, or to use two hard drives for longer 4K retention, look at the same eight cameras on a 16-channel HiLook NVR.
Q.05

Do the cameras have two-way audio?
They have a built-in microphone that records sound, but no speaker, so there is no talk-back. For two-way audio and active deterrence, look at the T269 or T289 all-in-one camera kits.
Q.06

How are the cameras powered and viewed remotely?
Each camera runs on a single PoE cable from the recorder's eight built-in ports. For remote access, set up the free HiLookVision app and Hik-Connect for live view, playback and push notifications.

Are the cameras suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. The IPC-T383H-MU has an IP67-rated metal housing for rain, dust, heat and sun. The kit is genuine HiLook stock with a local 3-year warranty and support.
