Installation Requirements
1. Power Source: NVR requires standard 240V Australian mains power outlet; cameras powered via PoE through ethernet cables up to 100 metres. 2. Network Connection: Ethernet cable from NVR to home or business router; compatible with all NBN connection types including FTTP, FTTN, FTTC, and HFC. 3. Hard Drive: Surveillance-grade 2TB to 6TB SATA drive required separately; Western Digital Purple or Seagate SkyHawk recommended for Australian conditions. 4. Cabling: CAT5e or CAT6 ethernet cables required for each camera run; calculate distances from NVR location to mounting positions plus 15% extra. 5. Mounting Requirements: Solid brick, concrete, or timber surfaces at 2.5 to 3.5 metres height; IP67 weatherproofing handles Australian extreme temperatures and coastal conditions.
