What the IPC-T381H-MU is

This HiLook 6-camera kit steps up to true 4K with the 8MP IPC-T381H-MU AcuSense turret on the 8-channel NVR-108MH-C/8P recorder. At 3840 x 2160 each camera captures roughly 44% more pixels than a 6MP model, so faces and number plates are clearer when you zoom into recorded footage - useful across a larger home or commercial site, with two channels spare to expand.

AcuSense deep-learning AI classifies people and vehicles and filters out animals, foliage and rain, keeping six 4K cameras' worth of alerts meaningful. Each camera sees up to 30 metres at night with dual infrared (black-and-white), records audio through a dual built-in microphone, and uses 120dB true WDR for bright backlight. H.265+ compression cuts the storage and bandwidth that 4K would otherwise demand by a large margin.

The 8-channel NVR-108MH-C/8P powers and connects each camera on one PoE cable, with six used and two spare. It outputs 4K over HDMI with independent VGA, supports cameras up to 8MP, and has one SATA bay - because 4K records more data, fit a larger surveillance-grade drive (the kit ships without one). The free HiLookVision app gives local and remote viewing, and the IP67 metal cameras suit Australian outdoor conditions.

Installation & setup

What's in the box

6 x HiLook turret cameras, 1 x HiLook NVR-108MH-C/8P 8CH PoE NVR, mounting screw packs and quick start guides. The NVR has a single SATA bay (surveillance-grade hard drive sold separately).

Cabling and power

Each camera runs on one Cat5e/6 cable to a PoE port on the NVR (up to about 100m), so there are no separate plug packs at the cameras. Mount each unit on a solid wall or eave with a clear view of the area.

Add a hard drive first

Fit a surveillance-grade hard drive into the NVR's SATA bay before recording - the kit ships without a drive. Choose the capacity for how many days of footage you want to keep.

Set up and view

In Australia these kits are commonly installed by a licensed security installer or a competent DIY owner: run a single Cat5e/6 cable from each camera to a PoE port on the recorder, mount the cameras, then run the on-screen wizard. Dual infrared LEDs give clear black-and-white video to about 30 metres. There is no white light, so night footage is monochrome, not full colour.

Is a hard drive included?

You have 30 days from the day you receive your order to request a change-of-mind return. Items must be unopened, factory-sealed and in resalable condition. A 15% restocking fee applies and return postage is at your cost. Faulty or incorrectly supplied items are different: we cover the return shipping and refund or replace at no charge.
