The HiLook IPC-T269H-MU/SL is a 6MP all-in-one Active Colour Deterrence (ACDC) turret camera that does more than just watch. When its AcuSense AI confirms a person or vehicle, it floods the scene in full colour, flashes white strobe lights and sounds a customisable audio warning, so it actively scares off intruders instead of only recording them.

What the IPC-T269H-MU/SL is

The HiLook IPC-T269H-MU/SL is a 6MP all-in-one active deterrence turret, designed for front doors, driveways and yards where you want the camera to step in and warn intruders off rather than simply capture them after the fact. Its 1/2.4 inch CMOS sensor records 3200 by 1800 detail with 120 dB WDR to balance bright skies against shaded doorways.

Deterrence is the whole point of this model. A warm white light keeps the picture in full colour around the clock, and the moment AcuSense detects a person or vehicle in a zone you have drawn, it can fire white strobe lights and play a customisable audio message or siren. That combination of light and sound is far more effective at turning would-be intruders away than a silent camera, and because it is tied to AI detection it does not fire at every passing cat or branch.

Two-way audio is built in, with a microphone and speaker, so you can also listen and speak through the camera from the HiLook or Hik-Connect app, handy for greeting a courier or telling a loiterer to move on. If you prefer, the white light can stay off and the camera falls back to infrared up to 30 m for a discreet black-and-white night image.

It is an IP67-rated outdoor camera powered by PoE (802.3af) or 12 VDC over a single cable, recording to a microSD card or to a HiLook or Hikvision NVR. It is supplied with a fixed lens, so choose your position for the field of view you need.

What's in the box

The IPC-T269H-MU/SL turret camera, mounting base and screw pack, a waterproofing gland for the network connector and a quick start guide. A PoE switch or injector, network cable, microSD card and any junction box or bracket are not included.

Installation requirements

Mount the camera to a wall or eave, ideally 2.5 to 3 m high, angled down over the area you want to watch, and run Cat5e or Cat6 back to a PoE switch or a HiLook/Hikvision NVR (IEEE 802.3af). Seal the connector with the supplied gland for outdoor use. In the app or NVR, draw your detection zones and set which events fire the strobe, audio alarm and white light. Insert a microSD card or point recording at your NVR, then test detection and deterrence before leaving site.

Q.01

How does the active deterrence actually work?
When AcuSense confirms a person or vehicle in a detection zone you have set, the camera can automatically flash its white strobe lights and play a customisable audio alarm or recorded message, while keeping the scene lit in full colour. Because it is tied to AI detection rather than basic motion, it targets real intruders instead of firing at pets, insects or moving foliage. You can configure which triggers fire the strobe and sound in the app or NVR.

Does it record in colour at night or switch to black and white?
It is built for 24/7 full colour. A warm white supplement light keeps the night image in colour so you can see clothing and vehicle colours that infrared loses. If you would rather it stay discreet, you can switch to infrared night vision instead, which reaches about 30 m in black and white. Many people leave it in colour deterrence mode at the front of the property and use IR for side or rear positions.

Does it have two-way audio?
Yes. Unlike basic cameras that only record sound, the IPC-T269H-MU/SL has both a built-in microphone and a speaker, so you can listen in and talk back through the HiLook or Hik-Connect app. That lets you greet a delivery driver or warn off someone hanging around the property in real time.

How is it powered and do I need a special switch?
It runs on standard PoE using the 802.3af standard, so one Cat5e or Cat6 cable carries both power and data from a PoE switch or a HiLook or Hikvision NVR with built-in PoE ports. You do not need a PoE+ switch. Alternatively it can run on a 12 VDC supply if you are not using PoE.

Will it work with my existing HiLook or Hikvision NVR?
Yes. The camera is ONVIF compliant and works plug-and-play with HiLook NVRs, and it integrates with Hikvision NVRs as well. For the active deterrence and AcuSense features to be managed from the recorder, keep the NVR firmware up to date. It also records to a microSD card on its own if you do not have an NVR yet.

Is the lens adjustable or fixed?
This is a fixed-lens model, so you set the field of view by where and how you mount it rather than zooming. It suits entries, driveways and yards at typical mounting heights. If you need to fine-tune the view remotely after mounting, look at a motorised vari-focal camera such as the IPC-T651H-Z instead.

Is it suitable for outdoor use in Australian weather?
Yes. It carries an IP67 rating against dust and rain and is built for outdoor mounting under sun, heat and wet weather. Positioning it under an eave still helps reduce direct sun, glare and rain on the lens, and keeps the white light from drawing insects right in front of the camera.

Can I turn the strobe and siren off if neighbours complain?
Yes. The strobe, audio alarm and white light are all configurable. You can disable the strobe or sound, restrict them to certain hours, or run the camera purely as a full-colour recorder. That flexibility lets you keep active deterrence on a front driveway while running quieter settings on positions close to a boundary.

You have 30 days from the day you receive your order to request a change-of-mind return. Items must be unopened, factory-sealed and in resalable condition. A 15% restocking fee applies and return postage is at your cost. Faulty or incorrectly supplied items are different: we cover the return shipping and refund or replace at no charge.
