The DS-2CD2367G2H-LIU is the quiet pick of the hybrid ColorVu turrets — night colour and lighting flexibility without the strobe and speaker.

The F1.0 lens rates 0.0005 lux in colour, and Smart Hybrid Light gives three night modes: white light for 24/7 colour, infrared for complete discretion, or smart mode that holds IR until a person or vehicle is detected and captures that event in colour.

The deep-learning classification runs on the camera — line crossing, intrusion and region entry/exit zones trigger only on humans and vehicles — and the built-in microphone adds audio context to recordings.

MicroSD backup reaches 512GB, and the metal IP67 housing runs from -30°C to +60°C on any standard 802.3af port at just 8W.

It records and alerts but doesn't intervene: for the strobe, warnings and two-way talk, the LISU/SL version adds them on the same sensor for a modest step.

Identification runs to about 8 metres with the 2.8mm lens or 10 metres with the 4mm.

Installation Requirements

1. Power: any 802.3af PoE NVR port or switch (max 8W). A separate 12V DC adapter is only needed without PoE. 2. Network: a wired Ethernet run back to your NVR or switch — PoE carries power and video together on the same line. 3. Mounting: solid wall, ceiling or eave at 2.5–3 metres, with the base sealed against the surface — the housing is IP67-rated for exposed positions.

1. Activate the camera with a strong password on first connection, then add it to the Hik-Connect app via QR code. 2. Enable push notifications so human and vehicle alerts reach your phone, and pick your lighting mode (white, infrared or smart). 3. Draw line crossing and intrusion zones tight to your own property through the camera's web interface, with target type set to human and vehicle.

Will the white light annoy the neighbours?

The 2.8mm covers 108.8° and identifies faces to about 8 metres — right for porches, entries and close driveways. The 4mm narrows to 93.3° but stretches identification to 10 metres — the better pick for a front gate or a longer approach.

Does this camera record audio?
Yes — the built-in microphone adds audio to recordings. There's no speaker, so it can't talk back; that's the LISU/SL's job. Check your state's listening-device rules before recording audio in shared spaces.
