Its eight built-in PoE ports power and connect up to eight IP cameras over a single network cable each, so a full eight-camera system runs from one tidy unit without a separate switch or plug-packs, and it records cameras at resolutions up to 32MP.

Despite its size it is a capable recorder: 128 Mbps of incoming bandwidth, Smart H.265+ compression to stretch storage, and 8K output over HDMI alongside a 1080p VGA feed for a second screen. What's in the box

One DS-7608NI-M2/8P recorder with a 6TB surveillance hard drive fitted, power adaptor and mouse. Cameras, network cable and a monitor are not included.

Installation requirements

Run Cat5e or Cat6 from the eight PoE ports to each camera (keep runs within about 100 m), connect the NVR to a monitor by HDMI and to your router for remote access, then add it to Hik-Connect. The 6TB drive is pre-fitted; add a second SATA drive if you want more storage. For high-draw cameras, check the 120 W PoE budget and use a separate injector where needed.

You have 30 days from the day you receive your order to request a change-of-mind return. Items must be unopened, factory-sealed and in resalable condition. A 15% restocking fee applies and return postage is at your cost. Faulty or incorrectly supplied items are different: we cover the return shipping and refund or replace at no charge.
