The Hikvision DS-2CD2686G2T-IZS is an 8 MP (4K) AcuSense Powered-by-DarkFighter motorized varifocal bullet camera for outdoor use.
Its 2.8-12 mm motorized lens lets you set the field of view remotely after mounting - wide for a driveway, or zoomed in on a gate - while AcuSense deep learning classifies people and vehicles to cut false alarms.
Lens: motorized varifocal 2.8-12 mm (remote zoom and focus; this is not a PTZ).
Night vision: Smart IR up to 60 m (black and white at night).
Audio/alarm: line-in / line-out audio and alarm in/out terminals (no built-in microphone).

Installation Requirements
1. Power & data: a PoE 802.3at (Class 4) NVR or switch over one Ethernet cable, or a 12 V DC supply. Confirm the switch/NVR supports 802.3at, not just 802.3af. 2. Recorder: a Hikvision NVR for full features; an AcuSense-capable NVR on current firmware to log and search human / vehicle events. 3. Storage: optional microSD up to 512 GB on the camera, or record to the NVR / NAS. 4. Mounting: solid wall or eave; set the motorized lens remotely after mounting. IK10-rated, so suitable for higher-risk positions.

Is this a PTZ camera?
No. It is a motorized varifocal bullet, so you set zoom and focus remotely, but it points in one fixed direction once configured. Choose a PTZ if you need continuous remote pan and tilt across a wide area.

What does the 2.8-12 mm motorized lens give me?
You can adjust the field of view remotely after mounting - wide (about 108 degrees) for a driveway, or zoomed in (about 46 degrees) on a gate or lane - without climbing back up to the camera.

Does it have a built-in microphone?
No. It has audio line-in and line-out terminals plus alarm in/out, so you can connect an external microphone or speaker, but there is no microphone built into the camera.

Is it PoE, or does it need a power supply?
It runs on PoE 802.3at (Class 4, up to 15 W) over one Ethernet cable, or on 12 V DC. The higher-power 802.3at standard drives the motorized lens and IR, so check your switch or NVR supports 802.3at, not just 802.3af.

Can it see in colour at night?
No. Night vision is infrared Smart IR up to 60 m, so footage after dark is black and white. This model has no white-light ColorVu or strobe.

With the lens wide its DORI recognise distance is about 17 m; zoomed in it reaches about 43 m, so you can trade width for reach by adjusting the lens.

It takes a microSD card up to 512 GB for on-camera recording, and also records to a NAS with ANR to back-fill clips missed during a network dropout.
