The Hikvision DS-2CD2666G2T-IZS is a 6 MP AcuSense Powered-by-DarkFighter motorized varifocal bullet camera for outdoor use.
Its 2.8-12 mm motorized lens lets you set the field of view remotely after mounting, while AcuSense deep learning classifies people and vehicles so alerts focus on what matters.
Lens: motorized varifocal 2.8-12 mm (remote zoom and focus; this is not a PTZ).
Night vision: Smart IR up to 60 m (black and white at night).
Audio/alarm: line-in / line-out audio and alarm in/out terminals (no built-in microphone).

Installation Requirements
1. Power & data: a PoE 802.3at (Class 4) NVR or switch over one Ethernet cable, or a 12 V DC supply. Confirm the switch/NVR supports 802.3at, not just 802.3af. 2. Recorder: a Hikvision NVR for full features; an AcuSense-capable NVR on current firmware to log and search human / vehicle events. 3. Storage: optional microSD up to 512 GB on the camera, or record to the NVR / NAS. 4. Mounting: solid wall or eave; set the motorized lens remotely after mounting. IK10-rated, so suitable for higher-risk positions.

How is this different from the 8 MP DS-2CD2686G2T-IZS?
This is the 6 MP version on a 1/2.4" sensor (3200 x 1800); the 2686 is 8 MP on a larger 1/1.8" sensor (3840 x 2160). Both share the 2.8-12 mm motorized lens, 60 m IR, 120 dB WDR and IP67/IK10 housing - choose 8 MP for maximum detail, or 6 MP to save bandwidth and storage.

Is it a PTZ camera?
No. It is a motorized varifocal bullet, so you set zoom and focus remotely, but it monitors one fixed direction once configured. Choose a PTZ if you need continuous remote pan and tilt.

Does it have a built-in microphone?
No. It provides audio line-in / line-out and alarm in/out terminals for an external microphone, speaker or alarm device; there is no microphone inside the camera.

Is it PoE?
Yes. It runs on PoE 802.3at (Class 4, up to 15 W) over one Ethernet cable, or on 12 V DC. Check your switch or NVR supports 802.3at, not just the lower-power 802.3af.

Can it see in colour at night?
No. Night vision is infrared Smart IR up to 60 m, so footage after dark is black and white. This model has no white-light ColorVu or strobe.

How far can it recognise a person?
With the lens wide its DORI recognise distance is about 13 m; zoomed in it reaches about 40 m, so you can trade width for reach by adjusting the lens.

How much can it record on a memory card?
It takes a microSD card up to 512 GB for on-camera recording, and also records to a NAS with ANR to fill any gap during a network dropout.
