What the DS-PWA96-Kit-WB is

The Hikvision DS-PWA96-Kit-WB is a wireless intrusion alarm kit from the AX PRO range, designed so a homeowner or small business can start with a complete working system and expand it over time.

It is built around the DS-PWA96-M-WB control panel and comes with a wireless PIR motion detector, a magnetic door/window contact and a keyfob, which is enough to arm a typical entry point and main room out of the box.

The panel talks to its detectors on 433 MHz using Hikvision's two-way Tri-X and Cam-X wireless with AES-128 encryption, and it reports alarms to you and to a monitoring centre over dual-SIM 4G, Wi-Fi or a wired LAN connection for path redundancy.

You arm and disarm, check status and review events from the Hik-Connect app, the included keyfob, or a tag on the panel's built-in tag reader.

A 4520 mAh lithium battery gives roughly 12 hours of backup if mains power drops.

The panel grows to as many as 96 wireless zones (including up to 48 PIRCAM detectors), 48 keyfobs and 48 tags, so the starter kit can become a whole-of-property system.

What's in the box

One DS-PWA96-M-WB control panel, one DS-PDP15P-EG2-WB PIR detector, one DS-PDMC-EG2-WB door/window contact and one DS-PKF1-WB keyfob, with mounting hardware. A data SIM and any extra detectors are not included.

Installation requirements

Mount the panel centrally with mains power and a hardwired network link for the initial SIM activation, then add it to Hik-Connect. Fit the PIR in a corner of the room to be covered and the reed contact on a door or window, learn each device into a zone, and test before arming. A data SIM is recommended for the mobile reporting path.
