It pairs passive infrared motion detection with a built-in camera that takes still JPEG images the instant the detector alarms, so the event can be checked visually rather than relying on a motion signal alone. This helps users and alarm receiving centres decide quickly whether an alarm is genuine before acting.

It covers a 12m range across an 85.9 degree field with 52 detection zones, and ignores pets up to 30kg when set up correctly. Smart Environmental Control with advanced digital processing and 3D optics, a polarising IR lens and a 12m infrared fill light help it capture clearer, more even snapshots in low light, while creep-zone protection and sealed optics keep detection steady and reduce false alarms. Captured images can be JPEG up to 640 x 480 and are held in a large memory buffer.

It connects over Hikvision's CAM-X two-way wireless on 433MHz, rated up to 800m in open space, with AES-128 encryption, and runs on three CR123A batteries for up to six years. Front and rear tamper switches report interference, and set-up and image review are handled in the Hik-Connect app. Note this is an alarm verification detector - it captures snapshots only when triggered and does not record continuous video like a CCTV camera, so it does not connect to an NVR. It is for indoor wall mounting and pairs with an AX PRO hub (it is not compatible with the older Axiom system).
