What the DS-PDMC-EG2-WB is

The Hikvision DS-PDMC-EG2-WB is a wireless magnetic contact, also called a reed switch, for the AX PRO alarm range.

It comes in two parts - a transmitter and a magnet - that you fit to the fixed frame and moving leaf of a door or window.

When the door or window opens and the magnet moves away from the transmitter by more than about 43 millimetres, the contact signals the alarm panel, making it ideal for protecting entry points around the perimeter of a home or business.

It uses Hikvision's Tri-X two-way wireless on 433 MHz, secured with AES-128 encryption and frequency hopping, with a free-space range up to 1.2 km so it reaches the panel reliably across a building.

Two-way signalling means the panel confirms each message and the device reports its own status, including signal strength and environment temperature.

Front and rear tamper switches alert you if someone tries to open or remove the unit.

A single CR123A battery lasts up to five years, and the device enrols quickly by powering up, by remote ID or by scanning a QR code.

It is an indoor contact and is genuine Australian Hikvision stock with local warranty and support.

What's in the box

One DS-PDMC-EG2-WB wireless contact (transmitter and magnet) with battery and mounting hardware. A compatible Hikvision AX PRO alarm system is required and not included.

Installation requirements

Mount the transmitter on the door or window frame and the magnet on the moving leaf, aligned within the trigger gap. Enrol it to your AX PRO panel by power-up, remote ID or QR code, assign it to a zone, and test that opening the door or window triggers the system before arming. Keep it within reliable wireless range of the panel or add a repeater on a large property.
