Why Choose Hanwha Security Cameras?

Why choose Hanwha Vision network cameras?- Korean engineering heritage. Hanwha Vision was born from Samsung Techwin, one of the world's most advanced technology manufacturers. Every camera reflects decades of optics, sensor, and semiconductor expertise — not rebranded white-label hardware.- NEMA 4X corrosion resistance. P-series and Q-series AI models carry NEMA 4X certification — the highest corrosion resistance rating commonly available in network cameras. Standard on more Hanwha models than any other major brand. Suitable for coastal, chemical, agricultural, and industrial environments where IP66-only cameras deteriorate within months.- WiseStream III AI compression. Hanwha's proprietary AI-driven encoding reduces bandwidth by an average of 52% vs standard H.265, and up to 80% in low-motion scenes. The AI identifies regions of interest (people, vehicles, faces) and preserves quality there, while applying higher compression to static background areas. Lower storage costs, longer retention, no infrastructure upgrades.- Wisenet 9 dual-NPU architecture. Premium models feature two separate neural processing units — one dedicated to image quality (WiseNR II noise reduction, lens distortion correction), the other to AI analytics (object detection, classification, attribute extraction). Both run simultaneously without compromising frame rate or resolution.- On-device AI analytics across the range. Person/vehicle classification, colour attribute search (upper/lower clothing colour, vehicle colour/type), BestShot thumbnail capture, and optional AI auto-tracking on PTZ models. No server-side processing required — all analytics run on the camera.- Multi-sensor efficiency. PNM series places two to four independent 4K sensors in a single housing, each with independent AI analytics. One IP address, one PoE+ cable, one mount — replaces four individual cameras at intersections, car parks, and perimeters.- Enterprise-grade cybersecurity. TPM 2.0 (FIPS 140-2) secure element, FIPS 140-3 Level 3 on Wisenet 9 models, signed firmware, secure boot, and HTTPS encryption. Hanwha is among the few surveillance manufacturers to hold FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certification.- 3-year Australian warranty. Smarket is an authorised Hanwha Vision distributor. Every network camera is genuine ANZ-spec stock with full local warranty, RCM certification, and Sydney-based support — no grey imports.

Common Questions about Hanwha Security Cameras

What is the difference between Hanwha Q-Series and P-Series cameras?

Q-Series is Hanwha's value-to-mid-range line covering fixed-lens and varifocal bullet/dome cameras up to 8MP 4K. Q-Series AI models add on-device AI analytics with WiseStream III compression and NEMA 4X corrosion resistance. P-Series is the premium AI line featuring Wisenet 9 dual-NPU architecture, WiseNR II AI noise reduction, motorised varifocal lenses, and full NEMA 4X/IK10/IP66 ratings across the range. P-Series is designed for critical infrastructure, government, and demanding environmental deployments.

What is WiseStream III and how much bandwidth does it save?

WiseStream III is Hanwha's AI-powered video compression technology. It identifies regions of interest — people, vehicles, faces — and preserves encoding quality in those areas while applying higher compression to static background regions. Independently verified testing shows an average bandwidth reduction of 52% vs standard H.265, and up to 80% in low-motion or low-complexity scenes. This translates to lower storage costs, longer retention periods, and the ability to add more cameras without upgrading network infrastructure.

Do Hanwha cameras support ONVIF?

Yes. All Hanwha Vision network cameras support ONVIF Profile S, T, G, and M, ensuring compatibility with major VMS platforms including Milestone XProtect, Genetec Security Center, Hanwha Wisenet SSM, and Hanwha WAVE. ONVIF compliance is standard across Q-Series, P-Series, multi-sensor, and PTZ models.

What is Wisenet 9 and which cameras have it?

Wisenet 9 is Hanwha's flagship system-on-chip featuring a dual NPU (Neural Processing Unit) architecture. One NPU handles image quality processing — WiseNR II AI noise reduction, lens distortion correction, wide dynamic range — while the second NPU runs AI analytics. This separation ensures analytics do not compromise video quality or frame rate. Wisenet 9 is found in P-Series premium cameras including select PNV, PNO, PND, and PNM models.

Are Hanwha cameras RCM certified for Australia?

Yes. All Hanwha Vision network cameras sold by Smarket carry RCM (AS/NZS CISPR 32 Class A) certification, confirming compliance with Australian and New Zealand electromagnetic compatibility standards. Combined with genuine ANZ-spec stock and 3-year Australian warranty, every camera is fully compliant for commercial installation in Australia.

What recording options work with Hanwha cameras?

Hanwha cameras record to any ONVIF-compatible NVR, including Hanwha's own ARN series (4-channel ARN-410S and 16-channel ARN-1610S with RAID support). They also work with third-party VMS platforms via ONVIF, RTSP streaming, or direct-to-SD recording (on-camera edge storage with ANR — Automatic Network Replenishment — ensures no footage is lost during network outages).

Do Hanwha cameras include a warranty?

Yes. Every Hanwha Vision network camera purchased from Smarket is covered by a 3-year Australian warranty. Smarket is an authorised Hanwha Vision distributor, and all stock is genuine ANZ-spec product — no grey imports, no parallel-market units.

Before you buy

What customers ask most before ordering from this range — and how we deliver.

See all FAQs →

Will these cameras work with my existing NVR?

Most of our Hikvision and Dahua cameras support ONVIF, so they'll work with many third-party NVRs for basic recording. However, AI features like AcuSense, WizSense and active deterrence only work fully when the camera and NVR are the same brand. If you're adding to an existing system, email us the NVR model and we'll confirm compatibility before you buy.

Can I mix different cameras on one NVR, or add more later?

Yes. You can mix 6MP and 8MP, or ColorVu and AcuSense, on the same NVR as long as the total bandwidth stays within the NVR's rating (we check this for every kit we sell). To add cameras later, just plug them into a spare PoE port on the NVR — no reconfiguration needed. This is why we suggest an 8-channel NVR even if you start with 4 cameras.

How long does delivery take?

Metro delivery usually takes 2–4 business days after dispatch, and regional areas may take longer. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order leaves the warehouse.

How much is shipping?

Standard shipping is free on all orders over $300 AUD, Australia-wide. Orders under $300 ship at a flat rate of $25, calculated at checkout. Tracking is included on every order.

What warranty do you offer?

All cameras, NVRs and DVRs come with a 3-year back-to-base manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Hard drives and accessories are covered as set out in our Warranty Policy.

What is your return policy?

You have 30 days from the day you receive your order to request a change-of-mind return. Items must be unopened, factory-sealed and in resalable condition. A 15% restocking fee applies and return postage is at your cost. Faulty or incorrectly supplied items are different: we cover the return shipping and refund or replace at no charge. Read the full Return & Refund Policy.

Is your Hikvision, Dahua, HiLook and TP-Link VIGI stock genuine Australian stock?

Yes, 100%. Every Hikvision, Dahua, HiLook and TP-Link VIGI product we sell is a genuine Australian-market model sourced through Australian supply chains — never grey imports. That means factory-sealed units, Australian-region firmware that works with the official apps out of the box, and a full 3-year local warranty.
