§ 01Overview

What the PNM-C34404RQPZ is

The Hanwha PNM-C34404RQPZ is a hybrid multi-sensor camera that combines four 4K PTRZ heads and a 2MP 40x PTZ module inside a single IP66/IK10/NEMA 4X housing — situational awareness and long-range detail in one install.

Each of the four PTRZ channels has a 3.3mm to 5.7mm motorized varifocal lens with pan/tilt/rotate/zoom remote adjustment, covering 109° wide to 56° tight per channel with WiseIR reaching 20m.

The PTZ channel adds 40x optical zoom via a 4.25mm to 170mm lens with WiseIR up to 200m — enough to pull licence-plate-legible detail from the far end of a large yard or campus while the PTRZ channels hold situational context.

AI classification (Person, Face, Vehicle, License plate) runs on every channel; extremeWDR reaches 150dB on the PTZ (120dB on PTRZ).

Power is PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt type 4, Class 8) — a single cable serves all five channels.

Designed for airports, campuses, city surveillance, logistics yards and critical infrastructure where 360° awareness and long-range identification are both required.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the PNM-C34404RQPZ

One Camera, Two Roles

Traditional deployments need a multi-sensor camera plus a separate PTZ dome to achieve both 360° situational awareness and long-range zoom identification. This unit combines both roles in one housing on one cable — install cost, cabling density and NVR channel count drop dramatically at large-site key positions.

PTZ IR to 200 Metres

The PTZ channel's IR reaches up to 200m at the tele end, so nighttime tracking of a distant vehicle or perimeter breach doesn't require external lighting infrastructure. Most PTZ units in this range limit IR to a fraction of the optical zoom reach.

150dB PTZ WDR

Long-range PTZ tracking through mixed lighting (sun-lit truck bay, shadowed loading dock, backlit approach road) benefits from wider dynamic range than the standard 120dB PTRZ layer. The step up to 150dB on the PTZ preserves detail across those extreme contrast transitions.

AI Classification on All Five Streams

Each channel — PTRZ or PTZ — runs its own Person / Face / Vehicle / License plate classification. Event rules can be scoped per channel and per class, so alerts stay relevant even across the multi-lens complexity.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Airport Landside & Terminal Frontage

Four PTRZ channels cover terminal frontage, kerbside pickup and vehicle loops in 4K; the PTZ module locks onto specific vehicles or persons of interest at range for security investigation.

Large Campus Central Mast

One central pole-mount covers all four campus directions in 4K PTRZ plus a 40x zoom for detail tracking — replacing several conventional PTZ + multi-sensor pole combinations.

Container Ports & Logistics Yards

PTRZ channels cover apron, gate, dock and yard directions; PTZ channel identifies container numbers, license plates and driver activity across container-yard distances at night with 200m IR.

Critical Infrastructure Perimeters

Water treatment plants, substations and depots benefit from combined situational awareness (four cardinal directions) plus long-range zoom detail — often required by CT/CNI compliance frameworks.

City Surveillance Central Positions

Municipal camera positions covering plaza, side street, intersection and pedestrian mall directions plus long-range zoom for incident triage.

Installation & setup

01

What's in the Box

1. Hanwha PNM-C34404RQPZ Camera x 1 2. Mounting Bracket & Fixings x 1 set 3. Quick Start Guide x 1

02

Installation Requirements

1. Power: PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt type 4, Class 8) REQUIRED — this is a high-power camera driving five channels including a 40x PTZ. Standard PoE+ / PoE will NOT power the unit. 2. Storage: micro SD/SDHC/SDXC card slots for edge recording per channel (sold separately). 3. Mounting: heavy outdoor multi-sensor housing — verify substrate can support the combined weight and wind load at high-mast positions. 4. Network: RJ-45 with weather-sealed connector; ONVIF Profile S/G/T/M for third-party VMS or Wisenet WAVE / SSM native integration.

03

App & Setup

1. Discover with Wisenet Toolbox Plus or Device Manager. 2. Set admin password on first login (brute-force prevention enforced), configure H.265 with WiseStream III on all five channels. 3. Frame each PTRZ channel via remote motorized varifocal + pan/tilt/rotate; program PTZ presets, tours and auto-tracking rules. 4. Enable per-channel AI object classification; scope IVA rules per direction with class filters (Person / Vehicle only).

§ 08Questions

Frequently asked about the PNM-C34404RQPZ

Q.01

What's actually inside this camera housing?

Five independent video channels: four 4K (3840x2160) PTRZ sensors each with their own motorized 3.3mm to 5.7mm varifocal lens and pan/tilt/rotate/zoom, plus one 2MP PTZ sensor with a 4.25mm to 170mm 40x optical zoom lens. All five stream simultaneously and independently.
Q.02

Why combine PTRZ + PTZ rather than deploy two separate cameras?

Two separate cameras means two mounts, two cabling runs, two PoE ports, two IP addresses, two device profiles in the VMS. This hybrid replaces both at strategic large-site positions with a single install, cutting the physical install cost roughly in half for those positions.
Q.03

What powers the camera?

PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt type 4, Class 8) — this is the high-power PoE variant, capable of delivering the wattage needed to drive four 4K channels plus a 40x PTZ motor stack simultaneously. Standard PoE+ / PoE will not power the unit.
Q.04

Can the PTZ track targets identified by the PTRZ channels?

Yes. The Hanwha AI event framework supports handover: a PTRZ channel can detect an event (intrusion, virtual line crossing) and trigger the PTZ channel to a preset position for zoomed capture. Configured via the camera's web interface event rules.
Q.05

What's the practical IR range for the PTZ channel?

Up to 200m at the tele end — enough to cover distant perimeter approaches on large yards, ports and campuses without external lighting. IR reach shortens at wider zoom settings because the same LED array covers a wider area.
Q.06

Do the five channels appear as five devices on the NVR?

Yes. Each channel exposes an independent video stream via ONVIF, consuming five NVR channel licences. Physically it's one device on one IP address and one PoE++ port.
Q.07

What's the WDR difference between PTRZ and PTZ layers?

PTRZ channels run 120dB WDR (standard extremeWDR). The PTZ channel adds extended 150dB WDR — matched to long-range zoom scenarios where target subjects move across extreme contrast transitions (sunlit apron into shadowed dock, backlit gate approach).
Q.08

What certifications does the camera hold?

IP66 (dust and jetted water), IK10 (impact resistance) and NEMA 4X (harsh-environment classification) on the physical housing; ONVIF Profile S/G/T/M for VMS compliance.
