§ 01Overview

What the PNO-A9081R is

The Hanwha PNO-A9081R is an 8MP (3840x2160) AI outdoor bullet camera in Hanwha's Wisenet P Series — a 4K bullet built for facade, perimeter and yard-boundary deployments where forensic-review pixel density matters.

A 4.5mm to 10mm motorized varifocal lens covers 101.4° wide to 45.5° tight per install (2.2x zoom); framing and focus adjust over the network after physical mount.

On-camera AI classifies Person, Face, Vehicle and License plate with attribute extraction and BestShot event capture — event rules fire on the class you scope, not on any motion.

WiseIR reaches 30m for full-dark identification, 120dB WDR handles backlit gateways, and Digital Image Stabilisation counters vibration at pole-mount positions.

IP66, IP67, IK10 and NEMA 4X outdoor housing; PoE+ (802.3at Class 4) draws under the max power budget; 12VDC input also supported.

NDAA compliant and ONVIF Profile S/G/T certified — integrates cleanly into Hanwha WAVE/SSM or third-party VMS.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the PNO-A9081R

4K Forensic Headroom for Wide Scenes

At 8MP (3840x2160) on a 1/1.8" sensor, the PNO-A9081R gives you roughly twice the pixel budget of a 4MP bullet. During incident review, that lets you digitally zoom into any part of the wide shot and still resolve usable identifying detail — critical for perimeter and facade coverage.

Motorized Varifocal Ends Ladder Returns

The 4.5mm to 10mm lens adjusts focal length and focus from the network via the web interface. Once physically mounted and cabled, all subsequent framing changes happen without dispatching a lift or ladder crew — measurable saving on multi-camera install and re-tuning cycles.

On-Camera AI Filters False Alarms

Object classification per class (Person / Face / Vehicle / License plate) with BestShot means virtual line and area rules only fire on the target class. Wildlife, shadows, and non-target motion stop generating operator noise, dropping nuisance alarm rates measurably.

Rated for Real Outdoor Deployment

IP66 water, IP67 immersion, IK10 impact and NEMA 4X classification cover exposed facades, poles, industrial yards, and coastal-adjacent positions — a proper outdoor bullet, not a repurposed indoor unit.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Building Facade & Perimeter

Wall or eave mount along building frontage, 30m WiseIR covers the standard 20-25m depth of a facade approach path at night with detail for post-incident review.

Car Park Row Coverage

Overhead pole mount covering a full bay row; 4K resolution and vehicle classification give lane-based rule scoping for reserved spots or entry logging.

Industrial Yard Boundaries

Perimeter fence line at industrial yards with vehicle/person classification isolating real intrusion events from wildlife or equipment movement.

Loading Dock Approaches

Truck arrival lanes with person + vehicle classification differentiating deliveries from other traffic; 4K catches driver and vehicle detail at range.

Commercial Storefront Kerb

Awning-mounted bullet catches kerb, entrance and window frontage in one 8MP frame; face classification supports evidence workflows.

§ 08Questions

Frequently asked about the PNO-A9081R

Q.01

How does 4K help in outdoor bullet camera scenarios?

At 3840x2160, this bullet delivers roughly twice the pixel density of a lower-resolution 4-megapixel unit across the same field of view. During incident review — a break-in, vehicle damage, unattended package — you can digitally zoom into a corner of the wide frame and still resolve identifying detail rather than a smudge.
Q.02

What does the motorized varifocal actually let installers do?

The 4.5mm to 10mm lens adjusts both focal length and focus from the camera's web interface, remotely over the network. Once the camera is mounted and cabled, every subsequent framing tweak — wider for the whole car park, tighter for the entry lane — happens without physical access to the camera.
Q.03

What AI events can this camera detect?

Object classification: Person, Face, Vehicle and License plate with attribute data. Analytics events include object detection, face mask detection, directional detection, digital auto tracking, enter/exit, loitering, virtual line, defocus, motion, appear/disappear, tampering, audio detection, sound classification and shock detection.
Q.04

What's the maximum PoE draw?

PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at, Class 4) is required — standard 802.3af PoE is insufficient because of the 4K sensor and 30m IR load. Also supports 12VDC input as an alternative to PoE.
Q.05

How does it compare to the newer PNO-A9082R?

This is the newer-generation P series bullet with a Wisenet 9 dual NPU processor, a longer varifocal lens, extended WiseIR reach, and FIPS 140-3 Level 3 cybersecurity certification. Choose this model when 30m IR range and 4.5-10mm zoom fit the site and government-grade cybersecurity isn't a hard filter.
Q.06

Is it NDAA compliant?

Yes. NDAA-compliant, cleared for US federal, defence and critical infrastructure procurement. Australian tenders that reference NDAA (defence, transport, some council facilities) can use this camera without procurement issues.
Q.07

What VMS platforms integrate with it?

ONVIF Profile S / G / T, so it drops into any ONVIF-compatible VMS. Native Wisenet WAVE and SSM integration is fullest; SUNAPI (HTTP API) documented for custom integrations.
