Hanwha PNM-C9022RV 8MP Dual-Sensor Panoramic AI Camera, 209° View

SKU: PNM-C9022RV
Description

- Two Sensors, 209° Panoramic Coverage: dual 4MP sensors deliver a stitched panoramic view covering 209° horizontal — well beyond what a single-lens camera can achieve without fisheye distortion.
- 2.8mm Fixed Wide Lens Per Sensor: no focal alignment on install — mount, cable, done. The two lenses combine into a natural wide panorama rather than a dewarped fisheye output.
- WiseIR 20m With 4 Independent Zones: each of four IR zones can be adjusted automatically or manually, avoiding near-field overexposure while keeping far-field targets illuminated.
- AI Object Classification: Person and Vehicle classification runs on-camera; virtual line and area rules scoped per class filter out nuisance alerts.

01Overview

What the PNM-C9022RV is

The Hanwha PNM-C9022RV is a dual-sensor outdoor panoramic camera that delivers an unusually wide 209° horizontal stitched field of view — well beyond single-lens designs — by combining two 4MP sensors into one seamless panorama at a combined 8MP resolution.

Each sensor has a 2.8mm fixed wide-angle lens, so install is genuinely plug-and-play: no per-channel focal alignment, no motorized varifocal complexity — mount, cable, configure.

The two feeds stitch into a natural rectangular panorama rather than a dewarped fisheye output.

On-camera AI classifies Person and Vehicle detections, driving IVA rules (virtual line, virtual area, enter/exit) scoped per class.

WiseIR reaches 20m with four independent IR zones — each zone's intensity can be adjusted automatically or manually, preventing the near-field-blowout / far-field-underexposure problem common on wide-angle IR cameras.

Dual micro SD card slots support up to 1TB combined edge recording.

Outdoor housing rated IP66, IK10 and NEMA 4X, PoE+ (802.3at Class 4) or 12VDC input.

04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the PNM-C9022RV

209° Coverage Without Fisheye Distortion

A single-lens camera hits about 120° maximum. A fisheye reaches wider but distorts. This unit's two-sensor architecture stitches together a 209° natural panoramic view with no dewarping geometry loss — the operator sees a proper rectangular wide-scene rather than a bent fisheye.

Fixed Lens Means Install-and-Forget

The 2.8mm fixed wide lens per sensor eliminates per-channel focal alignment during install. Mount, cable, configure via network — no ladder returns to adjust varifocal focus per direction. Simpler for large deployments where install cost dominates.

4-Zone IR Prevents Near/Far Blowout

Wide-angle IR cameras traditionally suffer near-field blowout and far-field underexposure. The four independent WiseIR zones let installers balance IR intensity per zone, keeping the whole 209° span usable at night rather than trading off close-vs-far exposure.

Dual SD Redundancy

Two card slots (up to 1TB combined) support continuous plus event split recording, or active plus hot spare — meaningful on sites where network reliability is variable and edge storage becomes the primary rather than fallback.

05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Building Facade Panoramic Overview

A single mid-facade position covers most of a building's frontage in a natural wide view — car park, entrance, side approaches — without the dewarping artefacts of a fisheye or the coverage gaps of a fixed-lens camera.

Large Retail Storefront

One panoramic camera covers the full shopfront kerb, entrance vestibule and window display in one seamless view — useful for evidence of shopfront incidents that would span multiple fixed cameras.

Waterfront & Shoreline Monitoring

Marinas, jetties and waterfront promenades benefit from panoramic coverage: 209° captures water and shore edges together, IR zones balance the reflection-heavy waterfront against the shadowed shore path.

Amphitheatre & Event Space Overviews

Curved seating areas at outdoor events or amphitheatres map naturally onto the 209° panoramic geometry — one camera captures the full audience arc from stage-facing position.

Warehouse Loading Apron

A single mount above a loading apron gives 209° coverage of the full width of dock activity — trucks, pallet handling, forklift movement — with vehicle classification for rule-based alerting.

08Questions

Frequently asked about the PNM-C9022RV

Q.01

How is a 209° panoramic different from a fisheye camera?
A fisheye uses a single ultra-wide lens to catch 360° in a heavily distorted circular image, which then needs to be dewarped to a flat perspective — the dewarp loses resolution and creates distortion at the edges. This camera uses two sensors that stitch a natural rectangular panorama across 209° — no dewarping, no geometric loss.
Q.02

Why fixed lens rather than motorized varifocal?
The 2.8mm fixed wide lens per sensor covers a very wide view that doesn't need per-channel focal adjustment on install. Fixed removes the varifocal complexity and cost, making the unit simpler and cheaper to deploy at scale where wide panoramic coverage is the goal.
Q.03

What are the four IR zones for?
On a wide-angle camera, IR reaching different parts of the frame at the same intensity typically over-exposes near-field subjects while under-exposing far-field ones. The four independent WiseIR zones let each region of the frame get its own intensity level, keeping the whole 209° panorama usable at night.
Q.04

Does the camera appear as one device or two on the NVR?
It appears as one panoramic camera — the two sensor feeds are stitched inside the camera and delivered as a single wide stream to the VMS. Not two separate channels like the multi-directional cameras in the same family.
Q.05

What AI is built in?
Person and Vehicle classification with IVA events (virtual line, virtual area, enter/exit). Business intelligence (people counting, heatmap) runs on-camera. Lighter AI scope than the higher-tier P models but covers the essential rule-based alerting needs.
Q.06

How much can I fit on the dual SD storage?
Two micro SD/SDHC/SDXC slots each accept up to 512GB cards for a 1TB combined total. Configure as continuous + event split (one card always-recording, second event-only for faster review), or mirror for redundancy on sites with intermittent networks.
Q.07

What VMS integrations does it support?
ONVIF Profile S / G / T — drops into any ONVIF-compatible VMS. Native Wisenet WAVE and SSM integration is fullest; SUNAPI (HTTP API) for custom code.
