01Overview

What the PNO-A9082R is

The Hanwha PNO-A9082R is an 8MP AI outdoor bullet built on the Wisenet 9 SoC with a dual NPU architecture — one AI processor for image enhancement (extremeWDR, WiseNR II, gain control) and a second for analytics (object classification, event rules, business intelligence).

Neither task starves the other under scene complexity, so 4K + full AI + WDR stays smooth at 30fps.

A 5.9mm to 13.3mm motorized varifocal lens covers 109° wide to 49° tight (2.25x), with WiseIR reaching 60m — twice the range of prior-generation A-series bullets.

Minimum illumination is 0.015 Lux in colour thanks to F1.5 fast optics.

IVA Pro Buildings analytics ship pre-installed: Person, Face, Vehicle and License plate object detection plus people/vehicle counting, queue management and heatmap.

Hardware-based cybersecurity includes a secure element chipset certified to FIPS 140-3 Level 3 and CC EAL6+ — clears defence, finance and critical-infrastructure procurement bars.

IP66, IP67, IK10 and NEMA TS 2-2013 traffic surveillance certification; PoE+ (802.3at Class 4) power, 12VDC input.

04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the PNO-A9082R

Wisenet 9 Keeps 4K + AI Concurrent

On single-NPU bullets, running 8MP with extremeWDR plus multiple analytics rules starves one workload or the other under scene complexity. The Wisenet 9 dual NPU eliminates that trade-off — image enhancement and AI both run at full performance concurrently.

Doubled IR Reach vs Prior Generation

WiseIR 60m substantially extends the reach of the older A-series bullets (roughly double the prior range). For full-length facades, warehouse boundary walls, and long yard perimeters, that difference is the boundary between usable identification and a black frame at range.

FIPS 140-3 Level 3 Government-Grade Security

Most 8MP bullets at this price ship without formal cybersecurity certification. FIPS 140-3 Level 3 plus CC EAL6+ hardware chipsets clear defence, financial and critical infrastructure procurement bars — deployments where uncertified cameras are ineligible.

Traffic Certification for Road Projects

NEMA TS 2-2013 traffic surveillance rating unlocks municipal, road authority and highway camera procurement. Most outdoor bullets don't carry this specific certification, so the PNO-A9082R clears traffic procurement gates other 8MP cameras cannot.

05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Long-Facade Commercial Buildings

60m WiseIR covers full frontage on office parks, hospitals and educational facilities; 5.9-13.3mm varifocal reaches specific entrances at zoom from a single mount.

Highway Interchanges & Road Corridors

NEMA TS 2-2013 rating clears road authority procurement; 8MP + 60m IR covers full carriageway width after dark with vehicle classification per lane.

Defence & Financial Perimeters

FIPS 140-3 Level 3 + CC EAL6+ certifications clear procurement gates for defence bases, banking premises and financial data centres.

Warehouse & Distribution Long Runs

Full-length boundary walls covered end-to-end by 60m IR; vehicle classification differentiates forklift movement from perimeter breach events.

Aged-Care & Hospital External Perimeters

Slip and fall detection combined with 60m IR supports duty-of-care event flagging on external walkways in low-light conditions.

08Questions

Frequently asked about the PNO-A9082R

Q.01

What does Wisenet 9 dual NPU architecture change in practice?
Wisenet 9 has two AI processors: one dedicated to image enhancement (extremeWDR, WiseNR II noise reduction, gain), a second dedicated to analytics (object detection, classification, business intelligence). On single-processor cameras those tasks share silicon and one slows the other under scene complexity. On this camera they run in parallel without competing.
Q.02

How does the 60m WiseIR compare to older P-series bullets?
The 60m WiseIR reach on this camera substantially extends earlier A-series bullets. For long boundary walls, extended warehouse aisles, or wide-frontage buildings, that's the difference between usable identification at the far end and a dark frame.
Q.03

What cybersecurity certifications does the camera hold?
The hardware includes a secure element chipset certified to FIPS 140-3 Level 3 (US federal cryptographic module standard) and Common Criteria EAL6+ (rigorous security evaluation). These clear procurement bars for defence, financial and critical-infrastructure environments.
Q.04

Does the traffic surveillance rating matter for Australian projects?
Yes. NEMA TS 2-2013 is the US standard for traffic surveillance equipment; Australian road authorities and transport departments increasingly reference NEMA TS 2 as a procurement baseline. Most outdoor bullets don't carry this specific certification, so uncertified cameras get filtered out of road-project tenders.
Q.05

What object classes does the AI recognise?
Person, Face, Vehicle and License plate with attribute extraction and BestShot event capture. IVA Pro Buildings pre-installed analytics adds people/vehicle counting, queue management, heatmap and crowd counting to the standard event rules.
Q.06

What VMS platforms does it integrate with?
ONVIF Profile S, G, T and M so it drops into any ONVIF-compatible VMS. Native integration is fullest with Wisenet WAVE and SSM; SUNAPI (HTTP API) supports custom code.
Q.07

How does H.265 + WiseStream affect storage costs?
WiseStream dynamic bitrate combined with H.265 reduces bandwidth and storage by roughly 40-60% compared to H.264 without optimisation. On 4K continuous recording that's a meaningful reduction in NVR storage cost across a multi-camera site.
