This HiLook 8MP kit is a six-camera, 4K system for sites that want sharper evidence than a 6MP setup, with two channels left for later.

Six IPC-T282H-MU turret cameras run from a HiLook NVR-108MH-C/8P, an 8-channel recorder with eight built-in PoE ports, so each camera connects over a single network cable that carries power and data.

At 8MP (3840 × 2160) the T282H captures the fine detail that makes faces, clothing and number plates usable as evidence, and you can zoom into recorded 4K footage and keep clarity.

Each camera records 30 metre infrared at night in black and white, with 120 dB true WDR for high-contrast scenes, and carries a built-in microphone for audio.

AcuSense classifies people and vehicles, so six channels of alerts stay relevant rather than constant.

The IP67 metal housings suit outdoor use and H.265+ keeps the 4K streams efficient.

The recorder ships without a hard drive, and 4K across six cameras fills storage faster than lower resolutions — add a 6TB surveillance drive for a useful retention window, and the NVR takes a single drive up to 8TB.

The cameras have a built-in microphone that records sound, but no speaker, so there is no two-way talk-back; and they have no red-and-blue strobe or siren.

What's in the box

Installation requirements

Mount each camera over the approach you want, run one network cable from each to the NVR's PoE ports, and fit a 6TB or larger surveillance drive before recording. Set up in the HiLookVision app or on a monitor, enable AcuSense rules, and test each view and the night mode before relying on it.

Is a hard drive included with this 8MP kit?
No. The NVR-108MH-C/8P is supplied without a hard drive. Because 4K across six cameras uses storage quickly, add a surveillance-grade 6TB drive for a useful retention window; the recorder takes a single drive up to 8TB. WD Purple and Seagate Skyhawk are good choices.

What does 8MP 4K give me over the 6MP kits?
More detail. At 3840 x 2160 the T282H captures sharper faces, clothing and number plates, and you can zoom further into recorded footage and keep it usable as evidence. The trade-off is that 4K fills storage faster, so size your hard drive accordingly.

Do the cameras record in colour at night?
No. The IPC-T282H-MU uses 30 metre infrared at night and records in black and white. If you want full colour at night, look at the T383H Pro Smart Hybrid Light kits, which switch on a warm white light for colour when motion is detected.
