What the DS-2CD2766G2T-IZS is
The Hikvision DS-2CD2766G2T-IZS is a 6MP outdoor AcuSense dome camera with a motorised varifocal lens, made for sites where the right field of view is hard to judge before mounting.
The motorised 2.8-12mm lens zooms and focuses remotely through the web interface or NVR, so you can set a wide view of a yard or zoom tighter on a gate or doorway without going back up to the camera.
AcuSense gen 2 deep learning classifies people and vehicles, so the events it records and alerts on are real targets rather than animals, shadows or headlights, and recorded footage is quick to search by target type.
DarkFighter low-light processing and 120dB true WDR keep the picture usable at dusk and against strong backlight, and an 850nm infrared illuminator reaches up to 40 metres at night with Smart IR to avoid over-exposing close subjects.
As an infrared dome it records in black and white in full darkness; it is not a ColorVu colour-at-night camera.
The camera has a line-in and line-out audio interface for an external microphone and alarm devices, rather than a built-in microphone.
The metal dome is IP67-rated and IK10 vandal-resistant for exposed and reachable mounts.
The camera runs over PoE (802.3af) or 12V DC, takes a microSD card up to 256GB for on-board recording, and works with Hikvision AcuSense NVRs and Hik-Connect.
It is normally installed by a security or cabling technician.

Installation & setup
What it is
A 6MP AcuSense outdoor dome with a motorised 2.8-12mm varifocal lens; the zoom is adjustable, so no order-comment lens choice is needed. Audio is via line-in, not a built-in microphone.
Power and cabling
Run one Cat5e/6 cable and power it over PoE (802.3af) from a PoE switch or NVR, or use 12V DC where PoE is not available.
Framing the lens
After mounting, zoom and focus the motorised lens remotely through the web interface or NVR, so you set the view without re-accessing the camera.
Setup
In Australia a network camera is usually fitted by a licensed security installer or a competent IT/cabling technician, who runs the Cat5e/6 cable, terminates the RJ45, mounts the camera and adds it to the NVR or app. Add it in Hik-Connect or your NVR, then set human and vehicle detection zones and the Smart IR night mode.
