What the DS-2CD2667G2HT-LIZS is

The Hikvision DS-2CD2667G2HT-LIZS is a 6MP Smart Hybrid Light ColorVu bullet camera with a motorised varifocal lens, made for outdoor jobs where the right framing is hard to judge before mounting and full-colour night detail matters.

The motorised 2.8-12mm lens zooms and focuses remotely through the web interface or NVR, so you can set a wide view of a yard or zoom tighter on a gate or driveway entrance without going back up to the camera.

By default the camera uses infrared for low-key monitoring, then automatically switches on its warm white light when AcuSense detects a person or vehicle, capturing clothing colour, vehicle colour and faces in full colour up to 60 metres.

You can also lock it to IR-only, white-light-only or smart auto.

A 1/1.8" sensor and 130dB WDR hold detail in high-contrast scenes such as a backlit doorway or a driveway lit by headlights, and deep-learning human and vehicle detection keeps alerts to real targets rather than animals or moving foliage.

The metal housing is IP67 weatherproof and IK10 vandal-resistant, and the camera records 6MP through the varifocal lens onto a microSD card up to 512GB for on-board recording.

It draws up to 18W, so it needs a PoE+ (802.3at) port or a 12V DC supply, and it works with Hikvision AcuSense NVRs and the Hik-Connect app.

It is normally installed by a security or cabling technician.

What it is

A 6MP Smart Hybrid Light ColorVu bullet with a motorised 2.8-12mm varifocal lens; no order-comment lens choice is needed as the zoom is adjustable.

Power and cabling

It draws up to 18W, so it needs a PoE+ (802.3at) switch or NVR port, or a 12V DC supply. A standard 802.3af port (about 15.4W) will not power it reliably.

Framing the lens

After mounting, zoom and focus the motorised lens remotely through the web interface or NVR, then set Smart Hybrid Light to IR-only, white-only or smart auto.

Setup

In Australia a network camera is usually fitted by a licensed security installer or a competent IT/cabling technician, who runs the Cat5e/6 cable, terminates the RJ45, mounts the camera and adds it to the NVR or app. Add it in Hik-Connect or your NVR, then set human and vehicle detection zones and the night-light mode.

Does the white light stay on all night or only on motion?
By default Smart Hybrid Light uses IR and only switches on the white light when a person or vehicle is detected. You can change this to IR-only, white-only or smart auto under the supplement-light settings.

Does it record in full colour at night?
Yes, when the white light activates it captures full-colour footage to about 60 metres. With the light off it falls back to infrared and records in black and white.

Do I adjust the zoom after mounting?
Yes. The 2.8-12mm lens is motorised, so you zoom and focus it remotely through the web interface or NVR. You do not need to touch the camera again, which suits high or awkward mounts.

Does it need a PoE+ switch, or will a standard PoE port work?
It draws up to 18W and needs an 802.3at (PoE+) port. A standard 802.3af port supplies only about 15.4W and will not run it reliably, so confirm your NVR or switch delivers PoE+ on that channel.

Will it work with my existing Hikvision NVR?
Yes, with Hikvision AcuSense NVRs on current firmware. Older firmware may not recognise the Smart Hybrid Light and human/vehicle event types, so update the NVR first if features are missing.

Can it record without an NVR?
Yes. It has a microSD slot supporting a card up to 512GB for standalone recording, and it also supports NAS storage and ANR network-loss buffering.
