The Hikvision DS-2CD2066G2H-IU is a 6 MP fixed bullet camera that pairs DarkFighter low-light imaging with AcuSense detection and a built-in microphone, at a price that suits everyday sites.

The 6 MP (3200 x 1800) sensor and a bright F1.0 lens capture clear, detailed images, and DarkFighter holds usable colour as light drops to very low levels.

In full darkness the camera uses infrared up to 40 m, so the night image is black and white rather than colour; this is a DarkFighter low-light camera, not a full-colour-at-night ColorVu model.

AcuSense deep learning runs on the camera itself, classifying people and vehicles and triggering perimeter rules such as line crossing and intrusion only on those targets.

That cuts the false alarms that moving branches, rain and animals cause on a basic motion camera, so the alerts you get are worth checking.

A built-in microphone captures sound alongside the video for added context; there is no built-in speaker, so it captures audio rather than offering two-way talk.

It is a compact metal bullet rated IP67 against dust and water, with 120 dB Wide Dynamic Range for high-contrast scenes, a microSD slot up to 512 GB and H.265+ compression to keep storage down.

Mount it on a wall or eave aimed along the area to cover, and run one network cable back to a PoE (802.3af) switch or NVR, or use 12 VDC. Set the AcuSense rules in the software and record it to a Hikvision AcuSense NVR. A junction box helps tidy the cabling on a flat wall.
