What the DS-PWA64-DURESSKIT is

This Hikvision AX PRO duress kit is a panic and personal-safety alarm built around the DS-PWA64-M-WB hub.

It is supplied with a portable wireless emergency button, a wall-mounted emergency button and a wristband to wear the portable button, plus an indoor siren and an outdoor sounder.

When someone presses a button, the hub raises the alarm on both sirens for an immediate local response and, at the same time, sends a phone call and an app push notification over the internet, Wi-Fi or an optional 3G/4G SIM to the people you nominate, so help can be called quickly.

This is the loud version of the AX PRO duress range.

Unlike a silent duress kit, it sounds the indoor and outdoor sirens when a button is pressed, which both warns people nearby and can deter an aggressor, while still alerting your chosen contacts on their phones.

The portable button can be carried in a pocket or worn on the wrist so it is always within reach, and the wall button gives a fixed point by a bed, desk, counter or reception area.

Everything is set up and managed from the free Hik-Connect app, where you add the people who should receive the alerts.

This is a duress and panic kit, so it includes emergency buttons and sirens but no PIR motion detectors and no door or window contacts; it is designed to summon help and raise an alarm, not to detect a break-in.

Because the DS-PWA64-M-WB hub supports up to 64 zones, you can add detectors and more sirens later if you also want intrusion protection.

The system is self-monitored by default, so there is no compulsory monthly fee and the alerts go to the contacts you set; a professional alarm receiving centre can be added over the SIA-DC09 protocol if you want monitored response.

A built-in backup battery keeps the hub working through a mains power cut.

The DS-PWA64-M-WB hub, a DS-PSG-WI-433 indoor siren, a DS-PS1-E-WB outdoor sounder, a DS-PDEBP1-EG2-WB portable button, a DS-PDEB1-EG2-WB wall button and a DS-PDB-IN-Wristband, with batteries and fixings.

Set up the hub

Place the hub centrally with good Wi-Fi or a network point, fit the SIM if you want the mobile backup path, and power it up to charge the backup battery.

Pair the devices

Add each siren and button to the hub in the Hik-Connect app, fit the portable button to the wristband if it will be worn, mount the wall button by a bed, desk or counter, and place the indoor siren where it will be heard with the outdoor sounder high on an external wall.

Add contacts and test

Add the people who should receive alerts in the app, set the duress and panic response, then test each button and confirm the sirens sound and the phone call and push notification arrive.
